Jaybro... I saw those today, but I was on a mission to get some Duvals... unfortunately I'm not on my way to Bishop right now (car still getting fixed, shazbot!)

Maybe I'll go back and get a 6 pack.

Ed, Duvals! You've got good taste! You can't get those around Joshua Tree.
Have you tried Corsendonk?

Blitzo - haven't tried those yet... I'll look next time I'm at the local exotic beer place (Jean's Food in Pleasanton).

I'll try to remember to bring some down on my next run through J-Tree (probably sometime this winter).

Yeah Jaybra, those brewers are some skate bros from 'luma. Dogtown Ale is my favorite. Hope I can find some "freak out" up here.

Lagunitas makes, er crafts, quality brew.
I think I had a Petaluma Brewing Co. (?) Ale that was really classy, hoppy yes,
But not the garden variety style...

When are we going to see a beer with the Velvet Underground on the label?

Taking this thread in the Zappa direction, here's an old Crossfire episode with Zappa taking all comers on censorship in music.

Bachar used to sing Zappa lyrics to himself while tickin' his bouldering circuit.

I'm a simpler guy and go for those elemental Lou Reed style cords.

Tarbaby, Lou Reed is one of the headliners at this year's "Telluride Blues and Brews" festival. September 15, 16 and 17.
The Telluride venue is great! 50 breweries represented. Music at the bars nightly!
Be sure to hit the "Fly Me To The Moon Saloon".
I ran into Sutton there last time I went. We went to his place for some of his Home Brew. It was good. Tom Cruise lives right across the valley from him. So What!

From a live NY concert in '72, european issue.

You should go Tarbaby. Telluride is one of the most beautiful little towns that I've ever seen.
I wish I could make it this year, but can't. I'll be there in 2008!

Interesting how Zappa and Novack hit it off as intellectual equals with equaly different perspectives and the other guy came of as a whiney putz.

I wished he'd just shut up and let Zappa and Novack go where they were taking the discussion. A half hour of that would have been interesting.
