None of them wanted to potentially help any of the others into a Yellow Jersey is my guess.

The 2014 tour is off to a grear start. Just watching Sagan mix it up with the GC guys today made it interesting... and allb the sprint stages should be getting crazy and cluster F-ed without Cavendish.

Word to the haters: If you actually look into it, Cycling doesn't have any more people using illegal enhancements than any other major sport, including US football, baseball and the Olympics. They just plan their testing better. The Olympics are way dirtier than any TDF start list.

A bit late to this post, just wanted to tell you about the incredible crowds and enthusiasm that marked the first two stages in Yorkshire. My wife Penelope and I are visiting Bingley, Yorkshire and the Tour went about 4 miles from here on both day 1 and 2. Incredible crowds ( some say up to 3 million people lined up the route). No matter the recent past, these two stages were awesome and in terms of public participating, I never saw anything like it. Cheers to everyone home in California.

I can't believe I'm saying this but, "I miss Cav already!"

It was all Peter could do to stay on Kittel's wheel.

There was something truly awesome about the pictures from the first
two stages. The country side was so wonderfully green and the huge
crowds cheeering on the riders. Maybe its just the learning curve of the people in charge of the cameras. Just wow!

And yah the riders are looking tough as usual.

I have no problem admitting that I miss Cavindish. A huge blow to the race.

I don't miss or not miss Cav, but I am happy that Phil and Paul (who I otherwise like a lot) don't have to gush on about him every other minute.

I will say it again,Bicycle racing in Britian is cool.Great stage ,awesome cities and a good sprint .

Bob's your effin uncle.

You would have to do drugs to race like that.

Edit; And just for good measure ,How many folks here are doing drugs watching the riders doing drugs?......LOL

I wish I could do drugs.

They might calm me down a little while watching each stage!

....and yeah, great stuff again today, seeing Peter make his way back to the front at the end, and his great bike handling while on Kittel's wheel in the finale, RAD!

I hope Froome isn't banged up too much.

Epic certainly was't too strong to describe today. 98 miles in 3:18 in those conditions!
Are you kidding me? Hard men.

3:18 is two minutes off my last Rosarito-Ensenada time. I felt like I really hauled ass that day.

But R-to-E is only half the distance of today's stage.

These guys did twice my best ass-hauling speed, over twice the distance!

More rain, no lead-out trains, sprint chaos, Sagan in the mix once again. Grooovy!
