I'd have an Alpaca raft I'm not using and would sell to you pretty cheap. Comes with detachable skirt, form-fitting inflatable deck pad, paddle, PFD and everything else you'll need. Used a bit but in great shape.
If interested email me at craig.a.clarence@gmail.com.

I recently met one of the founders of Alpaca. The brand was developed in and for Alaska. So if you plan to do your travels there, you probably will do well.
The cheap $10 ones from Target are just fine for non-serious relaxing.

I have two Alpaca rafts. They are bomber, I've used them pretty roughly and I am generally hard on equipment. I think they are a great invesment, the initial $1,200 or so will give you years of serious fun.

I just bought my second Alpacka. Love 'em. It was pretty cheesy that they failed to get the $1200 piece of rubber mailed to the proper address though. Hoping that they will repair my holey (holy?) 8 y.o. v. 1.0 free of charge for the trouble. FWIW they take (ab)use and still perform - I trust 'em even in the way out theres, the russian olive lined creeklets and the boney-bottomed trickles for what I use 'em.
