You are a lucky man to have a daughter who wants to do good. She is lucky to have a family who raised her that way.

Words that seep the notion that Micah has developed a deep personal faith as well as relating what faith provides and the load it carries. You should be proud for her!

We can all disagree on many things, however, love for daughters and sons is something that we can all agree on. Kudos.

Cool!
There are certainly many children in this world that need love, the touch of another human, a caring heart.

Spread the love not the hate.

What a great young life you have fostered Cragman! Parenting can be so challenging at times, but at the same time so easy if you just love, love, love, which clearly you have done.

But not to take away from her own individuality that she was blessed with, regardless of who her mentors were/are.

May the Lord reveal himself to her in new and exciting ways as she goes out to share her time and talents with humanity. She seems like a great kid and I hope her stories compel those around her to the same with their lives. Keep us informed on what God's doing over there!

hey there say, cragman dean... wow, as to daddy's and daughters...

there is a special anchor, to be sure... not only do i wish her all her dreams come 'even more true' as to her desires, here,

but, also, a happy dad and mom note, to you both, as her folks...

we came from a large family, but my mom and dad, were even without their knowledge, being an ANCHOR for me...

learned to take care of babies and love them, due to her...
learned personal integrity and honor and goodness from my daddy...

these things stay with us all our lives...

and: learned grace, from god above... :)

you know, not only is it hard to leave one's country and loved ones, but:
it is HARD WORK taking care of babies... babies/kids are a job for those
that CAN and will, "lay their me-first needs on hold" and give out "nurture and foundation-stone" to 'those that have a live-time to reach where OUR adulthood now is' ...

you got a very mature and far-sight-goal daughter there, dean!
good job!

This is an inspiring and wonderful thread, Cragman. I know the joy of raising daughters to be committed, faithful adults, and I rejoice reading about Micah's faith shown in action. Well done, good and faithful servant!

It's tough out there, no doubt.

“We have barely emerged from centuries of barbarism. It's not a surprise that there are shocking inequities in this world. It is hard work to climb down out of the trees and walk upright, and build a viable global civilization when you start with technology that is made of rocks and sticks and fur. This is a project, and progress is dificult.” -Sam Harris

“Every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.” -Einstein

Upward and onward. Cheers to Civilization wherever it's found.

THocking wrote "edit; How is the house sale going?"

No way Dean, you selling that sweet pad in June Lake? Wish we had the money to buy it, really liked that house and area when we visited.

For starters... cute, compassionate, outgoing, clearly know's what she wants and how to go about it (opportunistic), on top of the world - how can you not see the comparisons?
