Well my Blazers aren't doing so well against the veteran spurs. Hopefully they can pull a home game win.

As for the Thunder/Clipper series, Blake (the day walker) Griffin is up to his nasty tricks. Somebody on the Thunder needs to take him out like Andre Miller did a couple of years ago.

The Blazers' fannies must be smarting today after the two woodshed whoopings.
Was Aldridge even there?

Now that the Lakers are out of it I hope the Spurs win it all.
They really know how to play the game and Coach Pop is Da Man!

The Spurs might be too much. But I too hope the Blazers can get in the game.

My daughter asked me about why the Spurs were so good and I gave her the old saying "Old age and treachery will overcome youth and skill."

A champion team of strong vets, with the best coach in the league, hard to overcome.

Plus Tim Duncan is such a class act. So was David Robinson. A lot of guys
in the league would do well to emulate those guys. Did you know that Duncan
wanted to be an Olympic swimmer? But when he was 14 the only pool big enough
for him got done for by a hurricane so he started training in the ocean.
Basketball can be thankful that he couldn't overcome his fear of sharks!

Not to mention The grand master of the flop, Ginobli. I can understand the well placed flop but he does it subconsciously. Bad taste when you are ruling the game.

Larry, he's Argentine, it's genetic with them.
That's why I can't stand their footballers.

Ryand, in answer to your query "What is a Laker". I suspect it's a subliminal message via the owners to remind the fans 2 things. That they don't own jack or sh#t. Example, the Utah Jazz. What is a Utah Jazz? What does that mean? They don't have Jazz in Utah so to speak. Jazz is associated with New Orleans where the team moved from so the owner could make more money. Lets go with perhaps the Utah Handcarts, or Utah Seagulls, or Utah Pioneers....something appropriate. Not Jazz. Not Lakers either. However, if you are not too cornfused yet, the answer is found in the 5th line in the list upthread of teams which have moved. The Los Angeles Lakers moved to LA from Minneopolis where everyone knew them as the Minneopolis Lakers. They kept the 2nd part of the team name and dropped Minneopolis. Same with the New Orleans Jazz, etc etc

There are few lakes or water in Southern California, but as everyone knows......

Hope that was of some assistance and gives you a chuckle (as it does me) to reflect every time you hear the name "Lakers" that they really have a few less lakes than 10,000 in so cal. The word "Indian" as it relates to a near 600 year as yet uncorrected error and misnaming by a bunch Eurotrash also gives me a similar humor. Some of those folks still misusing the word might be able to actually find "India" on a map, where lives the actual "Indians" next door to the Pakistanis. It's clearly a badge of idiocy to persist for so long, but it's in my genes as well and I'm as guilty of it as the next. What a hoot.

Send Glanton over with a nickel and I'll answer a question for him as well.

The Blazers have clearly been outmatched by the spurs. I hope they can at least win one back in SA.

I'm a big Spurs fan, and I was really bummed when they didn't pull it off last year.

But I was so damn glad the Blazers showed up and played like warriors tonight. I'm proud of them.

Pops felt bad for the Blazers and let them have their home game win.
