Hey Jstan and Ken, i got a special project i would love to be involved with!!

Just over the railing at glacier point lies tons of garbage tossed by tourons. I can't think of a better site to work at or a better spot for pr photos for yca! I'm sure we would have to get permission from the nps, but that shouldn't be too hard..

Big M:
Ken monitors this so your suggestion should be on the board. The tunnel turn out and Wawona got a good going over last year and Ed soloed the G/P road. F/L is expanding.

From LP's last post

"Everyone who normally comes and who has emailed for a reservation already is/will be confirmed."

Was just thinking about how much I am looking forward to being back at this fine event this year.

That was immediately followed by the realization that I am going to be married then as opposed to now. PANIC!!!! hehe

Seriously, I can't wait to see everyone! I really missed not being there last year.

Multi-taskers need their eighteen hours of shuteye.

we'll hear about reservations much later. I'm pretty sure if you "joined up" you'll get a spot. Maybe not where you requested.

Sent an email in April to reserve a spot, but have never received a confirmation...

The reservation period is about three months long. If assignments are made early, changes will cause a three month long recurring activity. I would say it saves a lot of time to make assignments just before F/L.

Doing well here in Bishop, and Skip is coming up in August...so we have committed to hosting Upper Pines again this year. Thanks for the focus on Upper Pines, Mo - I know we're in good hands!

See you all in three months!

p.s. Ken, let me know if you need help with the gutters over there!

I have just landed a sweet new job which I will start in the end of August. I'm happy for this. It does have a downside though. For the second year in a row I must most likely back off from coming to the Facelift, which I'm not equally happy for. But I probably can't, with a good conscience, be away 2,5 weeks after a month. Oh, legally I could, but I'm rather sure it's not a good idea.

This is not a final notice that I won't come, but I want to give you a fair warning that there might be a spot in Yellow Pines available. I will talk to them and find out if it's possible. If there's a boardmeeting during that time I cannot.

But I thought all Euros get 2 months paid vacation as soon as they start work!
You mean you might actually have to work for a few months first?
The HORRORS.

seriously: would be fine to see you again if you can make it. There's always next year.
What's the job?

No, I don't need to work a few months first. Euros DO have that kind of rights. I do have the legal right to take vacation. It's the position... :-D

Executive director. I will head an authority which handles zoning, building permits and building control, environmental and health issues, alcohol and food restrictions and that kind of stuff.

I hope I will make it to the Facelift.
