Quite a while ago I put up some pics of a moderately badass climb I did in the Cascades BITD.
Not one comment, even of a snarky nature!
There is good info there but it takes wading.

SP and ST work quite a bit differently: SP separates trip reports, beta, and forums, while ST mostly mixes them all together. Plenty of folks probably appreciated your TR or beta, but didn't feel the need to comment. It's just a different style.

I haven't been over to SP in about 10 years, but this conversation prompted me to go over and check in on a page I made in 2004 about a remote climbing area in the Sierra. It seems a lot of my text has been edited. It's not a bad editing job, but it's no longer my voice, if you know what I mean. And there's one bit of bad beta which got introduced in the translation.

So if you like your attempt at an edgy writing style to be given a haircut, I guess that's the place to be.

SP is treasure trove of peak and route beta. Really great site.

The forums are a cesspool. I've been lurking there for many years, never really got into all that forum drama. But it seems that in every forum, regardless of the nature of the forum, those who lean far right are always the one stirring up a whole lot of trouble, trolling heavy, and being extremely nasty to everyone. I know about some of the players at SP forum, and this fact applies there, too. They seem like really angry folks, perhaps because of the drawf size of their penis.

Aside from the forums, the site it quite international and there's a ton of great stuff.

SLR Tbe far left is every bit as nasty as the far right. Extremism works that 1way.
