What a wonderful gift!

Arlene Blum is on the list once she confirms and Irene was one of the first to say yes to coming this year.

Thanks for the stoke folks! Even Dingus is fired up!

Steve,

So great to see the focus on women in climbing. We discussed this very possibility at the end of last year's get together and now here we are. Super.

I am very proud to announce that we will be finishing up the Friday night presentations with an hour devoted to the 1978 American Women's Himalayan Expedition.

On October 15, 1978 Irene Beardsley (then Irene Miller) and Vera Komarkova became the first Americans to summit Annapurna supported by Sherpas Mingma Tsering and Chewang Ringjing. This is an amazing climb and I am really looking forward to hearing about it from the participants perspective.

It looks like we may have the entire expedition crew in the house with a bit of luck! I am psyched!

Dyanna Taylor made a wonderful film about the Annapurna climb that we will hopefully be showing. I saw it long ago and look forward to seeing it again with the crew on hand to chime in.

Beth Rodden with her newborn baby would be a real treat, looking forward to the perspective that she can bring on a number of different issues, especially pregnancy and climbing, as well noted on her blog.
