Your "progressive" state has one of the least stringent gun laws in this nation.


And has suffered some of the worst gun related tragedies in the Nation.

There are so many of us Vets that know how the Gov't works and are now doing all they can to minimize what they are capable of doing.
Including their ability to take away the rights of all people and their freedoms to access their land AND guns.
NOT the gov'ts land.


Appears to be working rather well in the "progressive" state of Colorado which has one of the least stringent open carry laws in the Union.


SO by saying "working well" are you voicing support for the bloodbath gun slaughters in Our schools and theaters? By following the faulty logic you employ that would be the only conclusion conceivable.

Oh good grief.

Its NOT BLACK AND WHITE..

every situation has its own answer. I dislike some things the government does. Others I appreciate. the reason I asked if the land in the picture the Chief keeps post was reservation land is because if it is, then it is the tribes decision of what they want to do with the land. Just because Reid is there helping/pushing them to lease their land for a solar installation doesn't automatically mean that he was trying to take the land Bundy was using for a solar installation. Its NOT AUTOMATIC . And if it is reservation land, then I have no to little say in what is done with it.

So enough with the black and white thinking. I support SOME solar, but mostly smaller installations, therefore I could be against Bundy abusing his privileges, but also against the Solar installation over on the east side, though at this point I haven't looked at it.

So please.. stop with the black and white thinking.

Even though the Chief appears to be against anything the Feds do, I don't believe that that is true, anymore that I am against everything the FEDs do.

But Chief, you are lumping too many things in together which makes you appear to be against everything federal.

Time for a little legal terminology lesson:
You are actually a citizen of Colorado as well as a citizen of the US.
It's not wrong to say you're a resident of Colo., but nevertheless, you are a citizen of Colorado, which had significance that is separate from your being a citizen of the US. You are not a citizen of any other state (although you are a citizen of the US).
See the US Constitution:
Article XIV
1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

In a practical application, this comes up in the diversity jurisdiction of the federal courts. A common basis for federal court jurisdiction is that the plaintiff and defendant are citizens of different states (along with other requirements).
This wouldn't make any sense if we were all just citizens of the US and not citizens of our respective states.

I suppose you could say that state "citizenship" is just another legal term for "residency"--that may be be, but the legal terminology is in fact "citizenship."
