Hey, if you want cone down and spend a couple of days on HWy 4, future payback would be visiting you Indonesia. We have relatives on Bali. HWy 4 is Tahoe light at little bit of every thing but nothing great, except my cooking.

Where ever I live, climbers are always welcomed. Actually, I have more strangers stay with me than friends. Guess once people get to know me, they don't feel like hanging aorund.

The 2013/14 school year, we had traveling climbers stay in our guestroom for over 100 nights. (Not at once) Always fun to meet new people.

Unfortunately, Ernita and I don't live in Indonesia any more, we are now living in Mongolia. We have a guestroom here too, so you, or anyone else on this site, would be welcomed if you found yourself here.

HWY 4, home cooking and telling lies about climbing, you just might see us there.

Check out Chris Mc Namara's rentals there. I'm sure that he would gladly hook up a Supertopo member!

I used to own a home up there--no longer---and the longer term rental was a different animal than the weekend-weeklong process.

As I recall, the real timeframe for a real deal was 3 months....there, the market was for living spaces, as opposed to vacation spaces.

But you might be able to score a place for 2 months for the same price you'd pay for 1 week in the vacation spots. You look in the local newspapers.
