BURT BRONSON approved outerwear!

Packing up for moving and I don't want to box this thing...again...

I've got this incredibly nice classic sheeps-wool jacket I'm tired of lugging around. I bought the thing at a flea market for $40 bucks thinking I could re-sell it on my vintage clothing website since I had seen similar ones at over $1000.00 retail. Turns out it's just too heavy and warm for California-folk (unless you live in the Sierras) and the size and shipping cost is making it hard to re-sell. It's made for someone who's tall.

I'd love to get back my $40 plus the shipping, but at this point I'd give it away for free to anyone willing to pay the shipping cost. It would be nice to pass it on to someone who can wear and enjoy it.

Vintage sheepskin shearling coat made in England and sold through Sacks Fifth Ave. Antler buttons. Totally mint condition. Probably never worn.

Size: "42" Long

Measurements:

Torso: up to 45"
Waist: up to 46"
(Back) Collar to Hemline: 35"
Shoulder Seam to Cuff: 26"

Cut the sleeves off and it would make a good belay coat for those Joshua Tree summer routes..

Malboro Man is such a poser.

Make that "was" - most (all?) of those guys that portrayed the Marlboro Man are dead. Many of smoking related diseases. Guess they weren't posing that part.

Shipping is around $20 (give or take) . It weighs a bit.

It's made for a tall skinny guy. I tried to give it to my ex- boss who is 6'3 average build. Fit him fine, but he never goes anywhere cold enough to wear it so he declined.

@Fishfinder.. it's way too large for Erik. Damn thing tried to eat him alive during the photo shoot. Practically needed the jaws of life for the wool-extraction. Otherwise I'd keep it for Bishop.

Id love to have it. A coat like that would be perfect for winter horseback trips around here, when its 28 with 25mph wind and the nag is zigzagging through the cactus and cats claw.
I'm 6', 185. If it's not spoken for, put me on the short list please!

I have a few emails about it now. I'll send some responses a bit later. I've got wet paint all over me at the moment.

FF, sounds perfect for Marty Lewis. He's a Bishop guy, heck even has a bit of a ranch even though both the horses are currently down here in JTree. But not headed back north soon enough.

Pouring concrete on Monday........I'll get his measurements then and see if it's a fit and/or still available.

Nice measurements & handsome modeling job by Erik!

Hey Muppet,

maybe you should change your art medium

EDIT: Hey Sooze, it does look like Marty would rock that coat.

Hi Burt, I am very interested in the mountain coat. I am on a budget, but may be able to give you the $40 plus shipping, but I need to know how much shipping is.

And as I lost all of my winter gear in a botched move from house and wife, I could really use a nice, warm coat to get me through the rest of this Colorado winter.

Thanks,

Jack

Unlike the guy who got the jacket..

Burt Bronson wouldn't have stiffed me on the the shipping.
