Well, I haven't seen any behavior, like you describe from Ron, in fact, all I see is you guys flogging him because he's a little right of moderate.

It's the insidious manner with which he mucks up every thread with his usual thread-drifting/killing bullsh#t.
Not that he's alone in this, but he's by far the most prolific. And he has a lot of people here trained to respond to him negatively.
I don't have anything against his beliefs, just wish he'd show some goddamn restraint once in awhile.

Despite Dingy's desire to frame you as someone who needs to improve your attitude, the rest of us have seen you act appropriately for quite some time.

I really don't care what Rong's views are- there are plenty of people here who have diverging ideologies, and I enjoy perseverating banter with almost all of them. fattrad was one of my favorites, that way- I had great appreciation for the way he maintained such a steady demeanor while constantly being slammed from other directions.
And truthfully, I had the same admiration about Rong for quite some time- in spite of his carefully crafted hillbilly communication style (which is a ruse, btw...he has demonstrated elsewhere an actual ability to spell & compose sentences very well), he took the regular slams just fine, and came back again and again.
Where everything turned was when he openly admitted his role in reporting hedge for the use of bullwinkle's images in another thread. (If you remember, hedge slammed Rong six ways to Tuesday, each and every day, for GawdKnowsHowLong.) That was an amazing display of downright lowlifery...in my book, the 'code' of ST polititard FightClub is that you accept that things are gonna get messy, but you don't hit below the belt. And Rong did exactly that.
Not just be a rat, mind you...but brazenly admit it, and play it up (and apparently has already done so on someone else). Others may just brush this kind of sliminess aside (or not even be aware of it), but I won't forget it.

Right... I've never seen conservatives calling girls sluts and telling them they are going to hell because of the clothes they wear and/or because they don't follow a 10,000 year fairytale.
I forget who calls gays an "abomination" and fight to ensure they don't get the right to marry the person they love... but I'm sure it wasn't conservatives... they are above that sort of thing... totally open-minded, openhearted, kind folks.
I'm sure it wasn't conservatives who have been refusing to reach a compromise with the POTUS because he is (gasp) a liberal.

I just think it is silly to lump "conservatives" into any statement. To me it is the same as saying all "blacks" this or all "gays" that, all "conservatives" this or "hillbillies" that. Its all stupid....at least when it is serious. When it is a joke I will laugh my ass off. And sorry Ron, I get tired of everyone ganging up on you, but they do say some funny sh#t.

The worst of the conservatives are hate mongering as#@&%es determined to force their ancient fairytales and outdated moral on others while denying the validity of the system that makes their modern lifestyle possible (science). They insist on laws that prevent marriage between two people in love because they find that kind of love gross. At the same time they insist on easy access to machines designed to efficiently kill a bunch of people in a short period of time because they think they are neat and men in wigs wrote about the importance of shooting their muskets hundreds of years ago.
The worst of liberals are lazy pot smoking wankers who camp out in parks and play drums, oppose war, want welfare (mostly for mothers and children), and think access to affordable social services is neat.
I find the left end of the spectrum far easier to tolerate.

Plenty of liberal haters too.
I've been posting and lurking far less as this place has become a monumental waste of time.
In the past I donated to many of the causes here. But I gave over $700 to Tyrus Bachar and never got a thank you note, but at least he never attacked me here.
I gave $250 to philo and not only didn't he thank me, but he relentlessly insulted me on another thread but then deleted most.
What a moron!
Hey philo, deleting is not the same as keeping your pie hole shut. Do you have any idea of the chilling effect you have had on my willingness to donate to further causes? Of course you don't because it is all about YOU! I call it the "philo effect" THERE is the ugly!
