I've been a supertopo member since LONG before we logged in.
If there was some way to block certain poster's comments so I didn't have to see them that would make my experience better.
Never met you Ron but you lessen my experience. It's very interesting to me that you would start this thread without looking in the mirror or seeing how it relates to you.

Handjam Belay: There is a greasemonkey script that will block anyone you want. I use it at home (can't load it at work) to filter a few. Can't link the thread with instuctions, but should be easy to find.

It has lessened my own experience that others chose to basically call me stupid and other less generous things for simply owning firearms. So while I dont really consider myself being either liberal OR conservative, preferring to choose issues and politicians based on their own merits and my own experiences, others here have chosen to label me in a derogatory manner.
While im cuurently striving to turn a new leaf, so to speak, i,ll tell you that much of my past aggravation, defensiveness, and offensiveness was reactive in nature.
Quite frankly, i doubt much will change here. Seems that while y,all enjoy celebrating climbing together and sharing other experiences and interests, many here also jump on any opportunity to berate other members for their beliefs, political, moral, or otherwise. Its a longstanding method of operation.
You cant expect other people to change.

I spent a lot of effort trying to help Lois/LEB try to see how she attacks others. She was not able to learn. She went to her demise believing that It was always the other guys fault. Some folks just can't seem to learn, and some folks can't smell their own sh#t. I don't' know why that is, but it certainly is that way.
Then you have the whole problem of it being hard to express sarcasm in writing, or it being hard to understand each others humor, and things go balls up even faster.
I do agree that its gotten particularly nasty in the last few years. I don't know what to do about that except try to not add to it. That said, if any of you rat bastards comes after me. I will beat you down. heh heh heh..
Its raw here. Werner likes it that way. I like a certain amount of rawness here too. But the constant bullsh#t. .ack..

I've been staying away for about a month.
I have to laugh that of course Ron would get thoroughly slimed for starting this thread.
I've had plural disagreements with Ron and many others around here about conservation (an actual climbing related topic), other non-related politics such as gun rights and that socialist thug Obama.
Ron, in particular, has always been pretty decent and polite. Unlike others I won't name.
