I'm not sure why you are upset. We are climbers, these are good shots. Like the ones Phil Bard took and blew up to sell to support Tyrus's fundraiser. I like looking at them every time I notice one of them. I like looking at those, I like looking at these. Why is that wrong? You don't think folks google John Bachar?
a) please stop projecting feelings on me that I don't have.
I don't give a flying f&*k about John's photos and who sees them.
b) My comments are not about the ownership, they are about the style.
c) Why is everybody so awed about seeing these photos here and now, since they have apparently
been so available, for so long?"
On the internet, posting images publicly without placing them behind a privacy wall IS giving permission for any and all who find it to gaze upon it, or to repost for noncommercial reasons (with credit and links given as the OP has done)
This is not correct. There are cases when even inline linking an image is abusive (this isn't one of them). In most cases, downloading the image and uploading to a different site without at least implied permission is inappropriate (and technically copyright violation).
I appreciate the opportunity to view these photos and don't feel that there is an ethical issue here.
Heh, I just noticed I stole my forum pic. Oh well, at least one ethical issue.
