Hey Mr Amter, I'd heard you're coming, you guys have fun on The Mace on your way down, that's a great route. I'll be camping at Catalina St Pk in the sites Steve reserved, psyched to see everyone.

I just got news that Don Morris can't make the event and a clarification that it was Joanna and Dan Jones on the FA of Don's Crack in 1967 as reported.

Don had been pushing for a route on the east face of Baboquivari and so Joanna and Dan named it after him.

Don't miss this gathering folks!

Steelmnkey!

Wow! Great to see you having pics of My father and Bill climbing on Babo in 1964 -- that is really great!

Wasn't the building on top of Babo a former Army "Heliograph" station from back in the pre-1900's?? That's the story I heard.

A huge thanks to all the presenters and also to Steve and Mimi for putting together this fantastic event!

I learned and laughed so much. It was great to meet the folks who pioneered those routes!

Many thanks to Steve for putting this together. Big helpings of laughter, inspiration, and humble pie. What a privilege to learn, first-hand, the story of many FAs of lines that I have long admired (some up close and personal, some from a safe distance).

Here's to the Stronghold, the epicenter of Southern Arizona Badassery

It was very enlightening to hear the stories from people I have followed throughout the Stronghold.

Just some shots of the greats revealing their history.

Thanks to Steve and Mimi and all the presenters, this was a great event.

It was a pleasure to hang out with or meet these guys, since these are the names and lines I've looked up to since I began climbing.
Hearing the stories and seeing the archival photos made me even more proud of my southern Arizona climbing heritage.

Big props to Geir and Clay for repeating, documenting, and fixing up some of the hairball museum routes. Someone's gotta do 'em...and remember them!!!

Joanna Coleman deserves special note for her climbs on Baboquivari and in the Stronghold, and for mentoring one of my heros, Dave Baker.
She's a classic!!!
