Kind of reminds me of Kurt Albert who died while on a Via Ferrata he could have flown up with his eyes closed 99.9 percent of the time.

First I got what Locker said, then I didn't get it, then I did, then I didn't, then confusion:...pretty much left with confused, and I might tie in the the guy still if he could remember which hand goes on the brake side....which at this time is in question.(I'm teasing here Locker)

You just have to say WTF sometimes: sh#t happens, hope he heals up fine.

Update on his condition, a little improvement, but still to early to tell.

This pic from Austin (COTA) was Schumacher's second to last race of his career. Even though he was past his prime it was cool to watch a legend.
One more

And one of "Baby Schumi" or "Seb" or Sebastain Vettel or Mr. Vettel after giving up the lead to Hamilton.

Capturing a F1 car with a point and shoot is a challenge, ended up erasing a lot of empty track shots that should have had a car in them.

I love it when talent gets the ride, Schumacher has the talent and once he got the good ride... (he made Ferrari a better team when he joined up) he made the most of the chance.

I hope he pulls through.

a little racing action...

this was when going fast was the object, not slowed down cars...

Cars are WAY faster than BITD.... which is why Schumi re-retired at 43 with nothing other than past glory.

Mental... Yes and NO.... BITD there were very few rules, there was min weight, max wheelbase, max height and some other technical stuff about moveable wings... etc.

F1 was about building a better mousetrap

Now its all about ... slowing them down, making less power, less grip,CHEAPER to own and operate and GIZMOES to fake it... read KERS and DRS or whatever they let you use if your within 1 second..... so you can catch up....... all BS IMHO

This slowing them down is what made Schumacher so good, he was able to adapt and still be a winner, of Races and Championships.

And like all (or most) racers, you know when your reactions are slipping.

Just think how fast they would be if engineers were free to dream....

and true, that todays F1 are faster than the old ones were, but the BS about no refueling, running all the compond tires, penalities for blown motors etc.... takes away the different strategies that are core to running F1.

Schumacher was good, but Ferrari made him great!

beg to differ on that one, it was the other way around. Ferrari was good but when Michael joined them they were having reliability problems.... hard to win a championship when you get a zero in 4 races per year, cause something comes un screwed..... Michael became the hardest worker at Ferrari, it was common for him to be first one at work in the am and last to go home. He demanded that the Italian custom of drinking 3 or 4 glasses of wine at lunch stop, he had a huge hand in the decade long sucess at Ferrari.

Fort.... we should go have drinks and bench race sometime, lots to talk argue about.
