We are having (once again) another New year's Eve kid friendly party. All are welcome (Adults, kids, climbers, friends, strangers, visiors, Canadians, young and old). We will be having the EAST COAST BALL DROPPING 9 PM "happy new years" celebration...so the kids don't have to stay up to midnite.
There will be snacks, friends, new years stuff, balloons, a campfire, people, kids, etc. We have done this a couple years now;..and it's way fun. I'm sure some people will stay up until midnite..;..I'll try.
People can arrive at about 6 PM...stay as long as you wish. If you wish to camp or sleep in your car;..that's cool. No fees, no rangers, lot's of room...sleep in the desert or set up a tent;..no problem. THis is not a booze fest or smoke out;..it's a kid-centered party...but I'm sure , as in the past, local and visiting climbers will attend......
The weather is fantastic now;....warm and beautiful.

Directions;...from the town of joshua Tree...drive up towards the west entrance to the Park...after a couple of miles...turn right on rincon....then left on Star...we are the last house on star lane......(9561 Star) . If you get lost, ...call (760) 366-9395. Eveyone is welcome;..you don't have to have kids to attend.......

We found a need locally for something to do with our three kids..and the kids of our friends......so basically.....most of our friends who live here and have kids...they come over..they kids love it;..they run around, hang by the campfire, play video games, pop ballons, eat a bunch of snacks....some sleep over, .....it's really fun...and there was a need in our community for such an event. We are expecting 30 or 40 people........something like that. It's a fun evening for all, no doubt....and the kids have other kids to hang out with......Tucker Tech will probably be there;....extra bonus....

Please;...no pets.........thanks...this is a kid-centered party...not a pet event..(I know;...we let Canadians attend..but not pets;...doesn't make any sense to me either...)..i get mixed up;...is it Canadians or dogs that pee on the carpet..........(or both?....)....

Canadians don't pee on carpets, we are much too polite for that. Thanks for the invite but our bedtime is earlier than your kids, how about some pre New Years climbing?

I met my wife at a Todd Gordon slideshow, then ran away cuz I was skeerd.
Luckily we met again to climb, and New Years at Todd's 2008/09 was our third date.
Wish we could make it - keepin' the eye on the prize and nose to the grindstone here...
