Lot of exposed scrambling with ski's on pack. A few steep ski bits that didn't look too bad ..Very cool shots.. but I wanna see way more skiing!
Certainly curious about Tardivel

What rings for me is their vibe.
To be able after living in and for those mtns to have it come together and have the friends to push, share and coax each other. Nothing compares. What a life!

Did you bother to watch the clip Jim?
If you did, then you will realize it's just a teaser for a film of Vivian Bruchez skiing new routes in Chamonix with his friends not a dick waving list of accomplishments ticked off on an excel spreadsheet.

The full length version is well worth the $9 cost to purchase. Pretty incredible steep skiing!
edit - here's an older Seb Montaz video from a few years ago, with Vivian Bruchez, who is in the latest film.

I guess I'm suitably teased then. WTF are you on about ?
Nothing.
How's the skiing in BC?
I have an invite to head up to Terrence to film some skiing around the my mountain coop hill and just needed to kill some time.

Take my word, from personal experience: if you fall skiing on sh#t like that you will get hurt so bad that you'll never be able to climb again.
Although skiing is a whole more fun than climbing.
I keep tripping over the fatty boards I've placed center, on the living room rug.
I hate you. I keep bleeding all over my living room rug from cutting myself on the 80-degree bevel I've ground into my edges for skiiing boiler-plate ice here out east.

It's interesting to me how the GoPro footage captures the joy, and trepidation amongst friends. Movies have a very hard time achieving what this little homespun film delivers. Ironic - as I have spouted about my dislike of the "dig-me" culture that the GoPro footage creates? Guess I'd better open up my mind.
Those scenes getting through the rocks with big league exposure, friends coaching each other and the deep smiles activate me in a way that I haven't been stimulated buy film in a long time.
Good Vibes to all!

Vivian is my daughters ski coach, he's a really good guy, good climber and skier... he's also a certified UIAGM guide and works with the prestigious Compagnie des Guides. The things those boys are skiing these days are quite serious, falling isn't an option. I find it interesting how comfortable they in that space, their laughing and joking most of the time, it's a good sign of their character and coolness.

Respect. These guys are good. I was cringing at some of the stuff they were dropping into. Agree they seem to be comfortable in the extreme.

Kath... she's been on the boards since she was 2 and on the race team since she was 6, as you might imagine, she's fairly comfortable on the boards these days... here's a pic of her training GS last winter. Vivian is doing a good job with her.

Tom,
I still remember working at Robbins Mountain Shop and having you and Alan present slide shows on the Redline traverse, Freedom of the Heels, and the Unbearable Lightness of Pinning. Almost thirty years later and I still remember how great those shows were. Having skied with you a few times, I know your group knew how to have fun.

Craig!
I agree, "it's a good sign of their character and coolness."
Coming from you, who has skied with the best, I'm glad to see their joy of skiing in those mtns.
What a thing to see your daughter on the slopes!!! She will be putting you through your paces soon enough!!!
Andrew, You know that vibe of the alpine air, the peaks, the gliding and the incredible winter wonderland gets to me every day!!!
Cheers to all! or as Allan Bard said,
"Love and Angulation!"
