^^^eKat, did you get a new beast?

Charlie. . . no. . . heartbreakingly!

As a matter of fact, just digging up that photo made me REALLY miss Skadi. She was such a tripper.

I'm at a turning point right now. I sold my ski house on Mt Shasta and for the first time in 11 years, I'm completely moved in up here at the Canadian border. It feels really good and I've promised myself I won't make any big decisions until the end of skeezin season. . . quite simply because I'm fully brain dead during skeezin season. . . it's all I want to do! SOOOOO. . . in the spring, I'm gonna rise above the whole thing and take a serious look at the big picture. Deciding on getting a beast is at the top of the list.

Somehow I envision a BIG, STRONG male Black lab! Would love a little Golden retriever in the mix, but it's not a deal breaker.

All I know is. . . I'm a doggie person and I really miss Skadi!

:-)

It is all good, love both tele and alpine, just another excuse to be in the hills.
Waiting for winter up here, 50 degrees and 100 mph winds yesterday.

Any word on whether there's enough snow to ski on in the Wasatch yet?

Depends on your perspective. I got in a day on the 17th, had snow from the trailhead, but very bony. Today is the first new snow since, and temps appear to have turned the corner. Another storm expected early next week, but I don't know how much moisture is expected. Could get good enough soon.

All this arguing over the best way down the hill is silly since I'll be waiting back at the chair for all u gorby's while shredding on my new telemark snowboard. Best technology of all worlds, free-heel snowboarding is the future bitches, im telling ya! It cuts down on propulsionary drag & increases symmetrical torsion, creating maximum g force when cranking out turns in the corn during rockclimbing season. Way cooler than whatever u think is cool fer sure lol!
