nose in the air ... sniff sniff ... righteous snear: "Wet Wool!"

i had thought that snow plastered from top knot to knicker
sock would pretty much have masked the eau de ewe

Telemark: Norwegian for "wait for me".

Strange... That's what I hear from all of my snowboard buddies when we head into the ungroomed.... "Wait for me!"

Telemark: Norwegian for "wait for me".

That's funny. Inaccurate but funny. Norwegian for endless smiles.

I can personally attest to meeting a number of people I'd consider friends through teletips. Watching that forum die was really unpleasant. My hope is that the dozen plus years of stoke, TRs, stories and knowledge that was on that site isn't really gone forever and somehow Mitch will allow that content to be accessed in some way.

Craig Dostie (publisher of Couloir Magazine BITD) has a good thing going over at Backcountrytalk. Here is the link to the primary forum...

http://www.backcountrytalk.earnyourturns.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?2-Backside-Bar-amp-Grill

It just fired up late this summer and slowly many of the former T-tips denizens are joining in. It's a good place to talk BC skiing. My guess is that once people actually start skiing there will be the regular regional threads which are great for meeting partners, conditions info and general ski stoke.

There are a number of regional ski forums that have been around for awhile. My waders don't go high enough for tgr. Too much $hit to wade through to find the useful nuggets, jong.

agreed. poking fun at others who 'board, tele, lock the heels (shudder ;-) or even monoski is from the 80s. it's about having fun.

it was about only telemark skiing as much as this place is only about rock climbing. it was an excellent resource for BC skiing, locked heel and floppy.
