Hey there, just wondering if any of you are selling aid gear? I am looking for piles of stuff including older/hard to find gear. Items I am looking for include: old style fifi hooks, birdbeaks, tomahawks, copperheads, slider nuts, small cams, small stoppers, small angles, other pitons, hooks, tie-off webbing, portaledge, A5 rope bag, chest harness, etc etc etc.

Let me know what you have, I am interested in a lot of stuff. I've got a good rack but some stuff simply isn't made anymore and I prefer the design of some older climbing gear, especially when the going gets tough and the gear gets thin or weird.

Now I know the site is predominately California based, and I am up in Canada so I would need to have stuff shipped, I will gladly cover the cost!

Check squirrel's place near lover's leap. I hear there are tons of foreigners who expected to be on a wall, but ain't. Probably some folks who would take a hit for a little extra cash to mitigate the financial impact of our government's colossal incompetence.

KidCormier, wish I'd have posted this before my last trip, what do you have? If there's a bunch of stuff I'd easily make a trip over, I'm just across the Strait on Vancouver Island.

Also Kid, I haven't read a good TR lately, where are all your aid escapades? I liked reading that shizz...

No can do Christ, as I'm eh... north of the border as we say up ere in Cana-duh. Bummer about that government bullshit to prevent people from accessing their own land. I've been spending some time getting involved around here in Parks politics, incompetence at every level. Not all their fault in Strathcona Park here as they are sadly underfunded. Still we are lucky to have such a pristine wilderness at the backdoor, come on up sometime, no lineups, no Euros, might not see anyone for days....

Lambone you got any pics of that thing set up? What kind of condition is it in? Would you ship to canada?

I've got an old, well-used single-point suspension hammock that I could probably be convinced to sell.

I have a stack of pre-1980s pennies outfitted with a drilled hole and equipped with a shoe lace that I might sell for cheap, cheap, cheap! Crazy Aid-Man Bob style!

Send me an email and I can visit with you about an A5 single portaledge and fly (only used once) that I would like to sell.

Synchro, just get it shipped to point Roberts, 20 min from tswassen(sp?) ferry & a super mellow border crossing, I get stuff shipped there all the time. Just google point Roberts shipping easy peasy. Klaus has been liquidating it seems with some really good deals I'd hit him up. Kidcormiers gear has been peed on by samsquantch & stored on the floor of a machine shop all summer so don't be afraid to low ball him :-)

Had a deal fall through for a huge stash :( sorry but I'm not interested in hammocks, single ledges, or pennies but am still interested in an A5 double and lots of other stuff, I really would like beaks, peckers etc. small pins, spare ovals, brass nuts, sliding nuts, and a bunch more.

You might want to check the gear section over at Mountain Project and scope out Ebay, I got a lot of my aid stuff through MP. Good luck!

Get the swag shipped to Point Roberts or Blaine. There are shipping companies in both towns that provide you with a US address and notify you when the packages arrive. You cross the border, pick up your 'used' gear, and cross the border back to Canada. You may have to pay some duty....sometimes you don't. Regardless, you save on shipping costs.

try TSB Shipping, Point Roberts WA

I understand why that route might be beneficial for some, but since i am on Vancouver island, the ferry costs are far greater than the shipping. Almost a hundred bucks each way, plus gas etc to get to the border. Ideally i would find someone in Canada to buy from but either way i pretty much have to have it shipped or pay out the nose just to get off this rock.
