The Columns are good, but probably crowded. (Right in Eugene)

Then off to Beacon Rock or Smith Rocks with you like the rest of the state!

Also:
*Menagerie
*Wolf Rock
*Madras Area

Lots of good climbing, ya just gotta sniff it out!

What? Oh no man!
I think if you live in Eugene long enough you start to grow gills. It rains a lot if I'm not mistaken.

Aww...can't help with Eugene knowledge......But just want to say, even though only climbed once with you, you are a gentleman and a truly nice local showing me around. Was hoping to climb up there last week but the smoke.......Maybe before you move.

I'll second the Bandon suggestion.

I just got back from 10 days there. There's tons of bouldering on beautiful rocks and some ill advised "routes". Most of the rock/s are covered by a fine layer of sand and can be slippery as hell. South of Face Rock by about 1 mile and beyond is where I spend most of my time.

Cheers,

Trout Creek is amazing.
Barad Dur on Wolf Rock is one of the most memorable climbs I've done.
Flagstone has some good slab climbing.
Menagerie has some cool adventure tower and pinnacle climbing.
Broughton Bluff is just outside of Portland and is stellar.
Ozone and Beacon Rock are awesome and right on the other side of the Columbia and up the gorge a bit.
Smith is, of course, awesome.

There's plenty of climbing in the Cascades just East of Eugene, within a couple hours anyways. Just sniff it out.

F*#k... I miss Oregon

Trout Creek is very close to Smith (near Bend, OR) - not that close to Eugene.
The Columns, aka (Eugene) Skinner Butte - right in town:
