We came through 108 a couple days ago to scout for a ropes section on an upcoming adventure race and it was gnarly. After I took this photo, the smoke swallowed up that view and you couldn't see the trees at all.
Talk about feeling exposed.
PS, don't have a dream about your dog falling to her death from a height and then go scout domes in the smoke. Look at that little brown one. They want to kill me from stress, I tell you.
Thanks for all the smoked up replies. It was very useful and we did manage to find a sunny sky or two this past weekend, though it was a challenge! For future smoke-checkers? Remember, yesterday's smoke report is pretty much useless, today.
And when its bad? The smoke is demoralizing, depressing and down right ddddddddddddddf*#ked up!
F'n A, Cotton, she's FINALLY lookin' clear up this way.
Well, she was lookin' that way yesterday, but work days don't count.
Not that this is exactly where you want to hang.
Course, if you did want to hang here in Reno, Dingus, you can pull the van up and camp out front. We can do some big wall climbing downtown. I could be DD for a night out visiting strip clubs and other high fallutin Kneevadder activities.
I haven't been up that wall, but I do know there is a bell at the top. I'm not sure the hours on that rig. Can't trust a wall that has hours though. Nawmean?
The crux for me climbing that wall is the climbing season on that plastic pulling Spiderman simulator coincides precisely with the season for the crack jamming and granite pinching round these parts. It's easy to deduce which way the crocodile chomps in that lineup ;).
A little Fords for me tomorrow since the smoker cleared out.
