Good Question...

Heading back to Delhi...:-(

After a fine summer in the Sierra fishing, hiking, drinking, climbing, hanging with friends and family, eating good food and enjoying life.

Ugh, back to work.

cheers

Me, my dad and my two little boys are going for a ride in the old Grumman we got for the old man as a retirement gift. I can hear the banjos already, it's gonna be a blast!

Wallyvirgina some of my best memories with my Pop were from the seat of his Grumman canoe. He loved that boat and so did I.

Yeah, they're real beauties! Living in Sweden I was pretty lucky to get my hands on one. My dad just turned 60 and got retired a few weeks ago. As Deliverance is his favourite movie of all times he was really stoked on the gift.

Skeerd shitless....doing Santa Cruz Mt. Challenge. The 100K, which involves 7,000 feet of climbing. Then out on the big swimming pool to head south for diving and kayaking.

Headn once again to Sacramento for a birthday bash. Means i wont get to climb, or at most get to play at Rocklin Quarry, aka Deer Park.

The boulderers sure look at you funny when you bring a rope, rack, and harness.

This weekend - birthday party and sailing - ok I might read the crazy 'soft catch' thread to see what develops...

WML thread? Who I heard he is a total loon and was banned, why isn't this thread nuked? I don't want to see any trace of him on this site....jk

Going somewhere where I wanted to go since 2011. You see this rock face when hiking towards the Charlotte dome from King's Canyon. You have to guess the name, but it looks sick!

Just some lonely mtb stitaqua in the PNW for this weekend, however....

Last weekend I was in the Lemhi's outside of Leadore, ID on my bike and came across a lot of steep and swoopy, solid, blue streaked limestone cliffs and minor outcrops. It'd be a 1-3 hour approach to any of the various cliffs and even shorter by MTB or moto. I didn't get to the base of any of them but the trail wondered through some nice boulders that were solid with pockets, edges and even cracks. Bouldering in cleats is semi-fun!! From what I could tell by not seeing any chalk or climbers trails leading to the crags, the place seems like it is ripe!! Plus, it is on the edge of the Great Basin ecosystem!! The diversity and abrupt changes of the flora are dramatic and quite noticeable via changes in aspect and ele. The place is high!! I unfortunately didn't get a single pic of the crags or boulders but I did snap this pic of some petrographs we happened upon on our ride...

Very simple this weekend. Lessee....this evening; Woodson. Then Woodson in the evening. Then a graduation party, then back to Woodson in the evening again. My knee's a bit screwed up for some reason, so no OW's this week. Then there is the drinking cold beer part, which happens later in each evening. I got Tahquitz last weekend, so I'm good for a bit.
