hey there say, all... this year, since no one ever comes to see me on my birthday where i live (here, though, you all have BEEN MOST KIND!!!)

WELL, i did a three day open house--thus, if the few folks i know around here have the three day, they have more of a chance to stop by, as many
of them work...
the 31st, today, is now me being 60! and i want this
next trail of years to be used right-and-proper, so:
this is a good memory marker:
AN OPEN HOUSE!
HERE IS THE PRE-PICS... I AM SETTING UP for tomorrow, but you are
all welcome to stop on in now...
during the day, or, for aug 1st and aug 2nd--
i will post pics each day, and see if there are folks that will come,
and we can share the day and food with you...
you, my taco friends, are of course, invited...
god bless, and thank you for being in my corner all these
pre-sixty years... well, you know--the YEARS that i HAVE been here, :)
WILL EDIT HERE: THE COMPUTER IS NOT REGISTERING THAT THE
PHOTOS ARE PLUGGED IN... AND OF COURSE, they are, :)

i tried to send a picture of a rainbow from a couple of days ago. oh well
neebee i hope there are many real rainbows after any rainy day of your life. i am glad you were born sixty years ago. the earth is a better place a with you on it.

hey there say, all...
oh my... in just this few posts, i am going to sleep now, after getting ready for the 'hopeful show' of some local folks here--
(WAS doing thank you gifts for those that come, and balloons, and
popcorn--all the rest was already done, by 2:00 am)
crying... yep, i am very sentimental... and though i have learned to be
graceful enough to usually hold it in better, it still hits me...
this is happy crying though, you all, ...
there are so many sweet posts here right now, i want to address them
all separate, but i have to SLEEP, or i will SLEEP through the rest of
turning 60, :O
but i will come back tomorrow, and address each post, and, I WANT to put up the pics of the pre-open-house, as i got ready...
AND SHOW YOU ALL AROUND!!
INCLUDING--the TABLE all set up, and the home-made cake, and
yes!!! bagels...
:)
now, lastly, i just waited 'til after 12:00 on westcoast, so i would '60' over there, too, and i OPENED a gift,
that i received:
LABELED FROM THE TACO!!!
MORE CRYING--YES, good crying, folks...
let's just say for now, until i talk to the sender, that:
i WILL BE ABLE to paint stuff for you all for the whole rest of the year and i even reckon on into next year, if i use this gift very
wisely!!!
it is a GIFT CARD from you all, by way of a gracious taco-sender...
if anyone needs or wants a portrait for a special reason,
be SURE to email me--i do them free (though a few have wanted me to
do a paid one) PLEASE understand that i will do these for free
gifts to help cheer up those that hurt...
it does help if you can pay postage, though, :)
or if you just want one to cheer those on, for happy events as well!!!
or--FUNDRAISER... :)
it is my way to give back for the good lord bringing me this
far out of my 'trauma times'...
it is also a miracle for me to just be painting again...
love to you all, all the post made me smile, and mouse so well

hey there say all...
wow wow wow!!!
happy happy day!
HERE IS THE PRE-GATHERING, getting it all ready:
table for beverages, tea, juice, coffee and wine...
then, table for the cake...
and--thank you gifts to give to those that come...
then the cake is SHOWN...
AND I ACTUALLY got pics of all of it set up, and my cards,
and a few gifts, and two gift certificates are with the cards,
AND THEN-- more to follow!!!
BEST SO FAR:
the two step-grandkids that i always care and love, since they were little--and USED to live in this house BEFORE i did, CAME OVER!!!!!!
SO, OPEN HOUSE, LIVE NOW, at 1:36 pm july 31st:
first was grandkids saying they were coming...
then, my friend from kalamazoo, (we met from her mother-in-law at old neighborhood, after the lady had died)...
grandkids showed up, and we had cake!!!
and bagels!!!
they SANG me a song!!!!
AND--THERE WAS A DOOR-PRIZE FOR WHOEVER
FOUND the cheese IN THEIR PIECE OF CAKE!!!
AND--lo and behold my grand-babe got it!!
she gets the BIG dreamcatcher!!!!
got to go, a friend is now coming over, next!!!
will POST MORE EVENT PICS, AS I CAN!!!
oh, here is beverages set up correctly and nice:

hey there all, say, i been trying twice last night to get on line and say thank you...
dial up was just too tireing after staying up so long getting all the food ready and THEN getting up so early for the girls...
*only had about 4 hours sleep, :))
yep, 60 year old CAN handle it, though, IF:
WE BUDGET OUR TIME AND sleep LATE the next day, AFTER giving up on dial up
and not posting our thank you, :(
but--smile... :) i am, as, HERE I AM TO SAY THANK YOU, NOW!
GRANDkids are here, so i have to go, but i will still address all the wonderful thoughts, shares of pics and all this fun from all you all,

hey there say, johntp and all...
i know!! the most fun about animal critter pictures IS making CAPTIONS, :))
ALSO, mouse, i love the waterfall and all...
so much more for me to go back and thank you all for,
i have just had grandbabe here all day, two them, and
gave them PRECIOUS time...
ALSO--UPDATE:
DAY TWO OF OPEN HOUSE:
two more friends came, and at about the same time...
first gal, and her husband, and i showed them around the backyard, that HE, the gardener, and the one that had given me many irises, WANTED to see...
being that his wife had seen it twice, so far and love it...
they brought me BALLOONS!!! I NEVER HAVE GOTTEN balloons, before, :)
and an artist photos type garden calender and a POTTED BLACK EYED SUSAN
PLANT!!
then, the next gal came, and very special it was:
she is the best friend, like sister to the grandbabes MOM! AND,
SHE WAS HERE in this house, ten years agao, when i had my 50th here...
i did not want to be alone on birthday, as it was right after being a so called displaced person, so since i always came to babysit here for the babies (then) i asked their mom if i could bake a cake with them and have my brithday with them--and so nice, of course, the mom said sure!!!...
we baked cake and had so much fun, one was still a babe and not walking yet, and the other babe was about 3 years old?
THEN--the mom had secretly surprised me and asked her two sisters over and her best friend, WHICH IS THIS SAME gal that just came over today!!!
wow! very special, huh, that she is here for my 60th, and when i am BACK in this house, :O
she brought over lots of material and squares for quilts, oh my!!
and patterns, etc, all for my basement hold, for making gifts for folks!!!
thus, continues to start my 60, into bloom...
and, i got some great cards in the mail, as well!
will post DAY TWO PICS, TOMORROW, AS grand babe is here and i must get up early...
once again,
thank you to all the taco folks that chipped in for the gift of 'paints gift card'...
and for the private gifts as well...
*have not forgotten blitzo's quilt--am back to working on it, as of friday night, to come...

hey there, say, all...
on the LAST DAY of 'birthday open house' did not get any folks
that came by, but:
got a GREAT AND VERY SPECIAL card from my dad...
one with some deep and inspirational meaning...
he always gives great cards ,but this was the first one
like this... so, it meant a lot, as, he seems to KNOW me more
now, than he ever really did...
it made me cry... ohmy, yep, wayno, again, ;))
then, my TWIN buddies FINALLY got through by phone,
after trying each night...
it NOW appears that THEY were part of the DAY THREE and we did not
now it, ;))
then, just before the day three got into sun-up, but was still day three:
i say a very special and deeply touching story, on a dvd, that i had been looking for, and found JUST as my childhood friend's gift of 25.00 came my way... (gift only cost about 15, with the postage added on--so it was perfect)...
this was a special time for just me and god and things that have been very special to me, in the lines of deaf language/sign and communication and the
reason that wrote my jake-books...
so, this was my highly special day three:
a spiritual SUMMING-up of the open-house...
will post some pics, later, when i can...
i am very behind in TWO gifts i am making right now and dial up
can be a 'teaser' at these times...
but i will not neglect to share, or thank everyone...
happy supertopo eve, and to all, best-cheer for tonight,
as you all share posts and wrangle words and
enjoy trip reports...
and: hope for that lost hiker to be found, as i include some
prayers, off line, as well, with my hopes for him...
night for now, folks...
