First off, apologies to the Sex Pistols for the reference....
Yes, you heard right. Myles is putting on another slide show from the Patagonia trip he and Amy went on a few months back. This time, it'll be shown at the Ravine Group Campground at Whitney Portal @ 9PM on July 27th (Sat.). Bring a jacket (or your main squeeze) and libations. Should be hoot!

Was up there last Sunday
The rain and thunder storms were incredible!
It was great to hang with Amy and Miles,
Sure is a special place!
Myles are you wearing your sweat pants?
The ones that say "Whitney" across the ass

Got word that the Portal is socked in with weather right now. And the backcountry is being pummeled with t-storms (damn that weather forecaster B-Nic!). Hoping for clear weather tomorrow. We'll see.

Alright!
The Thompson Bosses are giving the us the go ahead to show the Presentation tonight at the Whitney Portal Store in the Whitney Portal.
The show begins at 9:00 pm
Hopefully we will have a nice down pour all day. With one hell of a light show.
The walls are shedding massive waterfalls right now and the creeks are ragging! An incredible storm is hitting as we speak.
The Rim of the World Climbing Club is here waiting for the show to go on.
See you here!
Greg hope you can make it!

Well, things didn't go as planned since Ma Nature turned many folks away (sport climbing is more important these days?). Anyway, beers, an awesome climbing partner and a fairly dry day on Sunday fixed all of that. Myles and I ended up soloing one of his newest creations....a 5.7 adventure route now called 'Ummagumma', which leads up all the way to the Wrinkled Lady and over the top of the north side! 2500 vertical feet! Myles discovered this "Royal Arches" of The Portal and what a grand adventure route it is! Two very cool left facing dihedrals are part of the highlights. Thanks for sharing the fun with me Myles! Killer fun!!! Until next time...
I'll see if I can remember how to post up photos so ya'll can oogle 'em.
