That underwater Karma stuff looks a lot like tripping on a dance for with disco ball reflections swirling around you.

So, I convinced my buddy Josh to come and huck the trestle with me this afternoon, round two baby! We spun,, tried to flip, it was good fun on a 25 footer. He remined me of this shot, which he took on the Feather River. I'm there, if you look for me.
Then, there's this one. It hurt. A lot. Concussion, broken tailbone, and broken sternum.
Viva la hucking!

Visited the Emeralds last week, while house & dog sitting in Truckee. Wow! Fun climbs that get a bit hot by 1, & then the swimming hole , right off the approach road. Good times!

No pic. It is the Nashua River 300 feet from my front door here in Massachusetts. A river with a pretty strong current and running pretty cool despite the hot weather we have had lately. 40 years ago it was unbelievably polluted. Basically an open cesspool. One person can make a difference in this world. In this case it was Marion Stoddart who has received, among a number of other awards, the United Nations Environmental Programme’s Global 500 Award in 1987. The award was for courage and leadership exhibited in cleaning up the Nashua River and providing a blueprint for others across the nation to help them clean up their rivers. Thank you Marion. After all these years I remained awed and inspired by you.
