Hey Brandon, Kiva is cool for the puppy reasons. No real secret spots, it's mostly finding those little beaches that are hard for others to roll up on. Near Chimney Beach we have a fave, and Skunk Cove can be righteous although often boater filled. I think we have also just been lucky not to run into too many jack wagons this season.

I just can't get enough of the ledge I jump off of. I seem to find an excuse to go there every afternoon.

Something about the weightless feeling when I'm falling makes me go back every day.

25' of awesome.

See ya! I'm headed there right now.

My favorite summer swimming spot is anywhere I can find some cool clean water...

British Virgin Islands
Nice swimming holes and great bouldering
I was one of the early pioneers of bouldering in the BVI (with my ex) almost 30 years ago

SLR, have you been to The Baths?

I used to sail there every winter when I was a kid, really cool spot. I think it's on Virgin Gorda?

I used to think that there were only two major granitic island chains in the world - the British Virgin Islands (Caribbean) and the Seychelles Island (Indian Ocean). But last year I also vistied the granitic Similan Islands off Thailand and Myanmar (Burma).

This photo is from 1981 or 1982.. Bouldering with Rick Cashner, Don Reid, and John Bachar..(John was just out of the photo).....Bachar had been bouldering in the BVI's a couple of years before we vacationed there.

Hey nita, you beat me by a couple of years.

I think this is the same boulder as in your photo, just taken from the opposite direction.

I liked the premise of this thread, "What's your swimming hole?". We can all hit the road and get to killer swim holes but the OP was about what's in your hood. Early in this thread I posted up some close-by regional stuff. On Sunday I took an out of town friend to my favorite within-bicycling-distance swim hole. It actually requires a class 2 decent to get here.

TT, you're correct. It's all about the swimming holes in your hood.

Headed to my local huck spot right now.

Peace!
