Hey Folks,

I just got in touch with an old High School friend that had moved to Fresno many years ago. Things were going good, conversations were fun and wham... Out of the blue she stopped making sense, she is literally bat shiest crazy. I got in touch with her family and they know, are there, doing their best. They have brought her home with them in Coarse Gold, it appears she fried her brains on Bath Salts.

Question, does anyone know of someone who has recovered and to what percent? Can this be permanent and... What are their choices on care?

She is right now so out of touch with reality, talking to her friends in her head, completely delusional.

I am digesting this, seems to be the sign of the times, part of my generation. God I am so glad most of those I grew up with have avoided falling into the drug trap. I am really going to miss "her."

They did, that's how her parents came into the picture. She's on meds. Not responding to them at all. What the hell are bath salts??? When did this new drug started happening?

I am pretty naive about this stuff and I guess that is a good thing.

Yes, exactly my thinking... Her poor parents. Anyway I am learning to consider her gone. If she never recovers, I wonder if an O.D. death would have been easier. This super sucks.

Anyway, Note to ALL,

Avoid Bath Salts like the plague.

In fact please if you partake in anything, please do it responsibly and carefully. I don't care if it's been prescribed or if it's legal. Be careful. Super please avoid the stuff that can alter your brain forever.

There goes another beautiful blond girl, another smart talented woman that had so many men wishing she'll notice them down the drain. What a BIG WASTE!!!!!

This cannabalism incident was supposedly precipitated by bath salts.

Like any drug one should try to stick to ones with a long safe (or at least well known) track record.

Been telling folks to stay away from bath salts and the synthetic weed for a while just because there isn't enough data on longterm effects.

Smoke weed. eat shrooms, do LSD.. safe stuff. If ya gotta go for the highly addictive stuff I'd recommend coke. Stay the hell away from Heroin and even Meth.

Stay away from cigarettes and alchohol too. The weed lsd and shrooms are MUCH safer.

How can a drug be good if you can OD on it? I don't get that logic.

LSD?
Are you freakin insane?

I remember a guy that thought he was a tree at Berkeley, he had a bad trip on LSD and never came back. Spent the rest of his life being a tree telling people to pick his fruit. He was all scarred because when he first tripped and lost it, he was thinking he was the fruit and was pealing himself to give out to others. An officer convinced him to be a tree instead and that's that.

I understand mary jane but even then... If the person partaking has some schizophrenia or bi-polar tendencies. It seams to bring 'em out to play.

Yeah but LSD ODing is rare. Anycase I don't really recommend any drug if you want to live a long healthy life. But since some folks just gotta have drugs or at least play with em a bit I figure it's best to point them away from the new synthetics and the real hard stuff. I go off bigtime on some kid who thinks meth or heroine might be interesting. Telling em to just say no ain't gunna help. It sucks that some folks just have to try this stuff and I would gladly see someone try almost anything instead of Meth or Heroine.

If I had to pick just one as the safest I'd definately say Weed. It's not perfectly safe and healthy but it's about as close as it gets.

Caffeine is perhaps safer although not great for folks with high blood pressure.

Just another way the drug laws do more harm than good.

People cook up these toxic concoctions to defy chemical analysis as a controlled substance and, with easier access, people foolishly partake.

Probably even worse than crank.
I take no joy in saying this A, but your friend may be damaged goods.

Scary.
Who knows maybe it can eventually be flushed out with lots of exercise?
High heart rate and lots of water and good food being burned
for months can do wonders.

it is also worth saying that with alcohol, you generally know what you are consuming.

However, this is almost never the case with anything illegal. You don't know what is mixed in, or even substituted for the purported drug. You don't know what chemicals have been applied to keep bugs off, and are still there.

I occasionally work with a group that is involved in restoring grass plantations planted in the national forests. When we go in, the plants are gone, the purpose is just to restore the lands, there is no agenda with respect to pot usage.

Often, we find huge quantities of chemicals that are so potent, that we have to wear full Haz-Mat suits for safety. These are rodenticides, herbicides, and other things to kill what is normally there.

I doubt that there is any quality assurance process to make sure that the final product is chemical free.

Very sobering.

you are supposed to add the bath salts to the water, not chop them up on the toilet cover and snort them,

sounds like a mis communism of some type,

blew a big freebase wad out of the spoon and into the toilet with the blow dryer up in boulder creek, ca, free base capital of the world, boy what a jones,

It looks like about two to three weeks. Yeah, I do hope with time she will heal but... I have never seen this before. I did have a friend go schizophrenic in college and two severely bi-polar. This is reminds me of my schizophrenic except a bit worse.

I hope this doesn't strike anyone here. It's awesomely scary.

Stay away from the shite! During my recent illness I told my Docs that I was using ganja for pain management. Their biggest concern was that I knew my source. Meh, I live in Nederland for cryin out loud!

In all seriousness though, the so-called "designer" drugs going around are dangerous and stupid. As high as I get on booze and grass,I can't imagine needing to go higher.

Sorry about your friend Ana.
