Is this kinda like a photo bomb? A front page bomb? A forum buster bomb? What say the monkeys? Is this a not-so subtle stab at the oh-so important OT rants?
I was surprised it was a real movie, SciFi channel or not.

My favorite bits in Sharktopus was the bungi jumper, and when it walked on land on its tentacles!
Hope I didn't blow the storyline...

Stich - agreed Ed Wood was the shiz. We even named a route in the Southern Pickets: "Plan 9", complete with the "Bela Lugosi Traverse".
Yes, it will be bad, but originality trumps the regurgitated story at some point, right?

Picked up the boy's new La-Z-Boy and beer-mug yesterday. Count-down to shark-fest couch-potato has begun.
@Stitch.. These movies are indeed silly but fun in their way. I actually have a hard time watching more than 15 minutes of Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus.... not because of the paper-thin plot, the badly animated monsters, or the terrible dialog... these are things I can endure. What I find truly unbearable is watching Deborah Gibson try to act. It takes B-movie actor to a whole new level. ;)

A couple of years ago I was scuba diving in the Coral Sea about 100 km off the coast of Queensland, Australia.
There was a large group of sharks swimming in circles on the reef (see photo below). I swam into the middle of this school, and the sharks parted around me, still swimming in circles... It was an AWESOME experience to be completely surrounded by sharks.
I took this photo just before I swam right into the middle of that school of sharks
These ain't nurse sharks, baby
Full story of my trip to the Coral Sea here (multiple pages).

Alright, what is the verdict? Is Sharknado worthy?
We watched like 1-1/2 hours of it an were kind of "Meh."
At least Sharktopus was a killing hybrid that kept you entertained.
Sharknado was just about an event, and we got tired of the bad acting leading up to the "event".
4 out of 10.

I think I got the perfect summary from @TheTweetOfGod during his live tweeting of the film.
C'mon guys, Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. Any movie with those two just on their own merits is likely to be so bad it's good! Ha ha!

It actually started out pretty "good" (relative terms only). It was more "shark sewer-attack" than "sharknado". When the cast of characters tripled and they tried to add in the "mending the broken family'"-angle it ran into problems.
These types of movies are really better left to less talking and more biting.

Sharks don't bother scuba divers, we're not part of their food supply.
Things that splash around on the surface are in their food chain.
Here's another nice shark dive from Youtube. The dive master handling the sharks is wearing a mail suit for protection just in case one of the sharks gets feisty.
And here's another video showing a baited shark dive with white tips at the same place in the Coral Sea where I went diving. When the sharks are done with the bait ball, you swim into the center of the school of sharks where the bait ball was formerly located, and the sharks will swim in a tight circle around you.

SharkNado must have struck San Francisco today too.
This lady was trying to sell baby sharks right off the sidewalk in Chinatown:
She yelled "no foto, no foto" which I assumed to mean she spoke Spanish. But she seemed to understand not one word of my "apology", which I delivered to her in Spanish.

Sharks are badd ass...
... and Tornados are badd ass.
So what could be more badd ass that a SHARKNADO on a major US city, I ask you?
I just pray that it doesn't hit Tustin.
I saw the documentary and it's almost as badd ass as global warming.
