in a nutshell, they are now engineered to produce running at much lower rpm's

Coming down I-5, forget where, exactly, but near Sacto, there sat the biggest turbine whirling at such reduced speed that it kind of made me want to stop and photograph it. I did not, but it looked about so.

Bat, I would not be as surprised to see a Red-cockaded in Tennessee as I
would be to see a Cali Condor in Oregon. Of course, it could be confused
by a noob with a Downy but only a moron could mistake a Condor, eh?
