I can't believe you guys even go to Stoney in the summer arrgggg!!!
Bob if you want to boulder and you're headed to Tahquitz or JT, check out the Tramway boulders (go online to "Palm Springs Tramway") - in no time it whisks you up to elevation and cooler temps from the baking desert floor - fun bouldering amongst the pines. Also Black Mountain near Tahquitz/Idyllwild has good bouldering up high (more difficult and highball problems than Tramway). Horse Flats up in the Angeles Crest is also bouldering at a higher elevation in nice surroundings. There's nothing close by for roped climbing in the summer that won't cook you.
There are climbing gyms, if you want to train in the meantime. They mostly suck and we can all go on and on about them for hours but in the summer we're sort of stuck here in L.A.
Go Scots! Mr. Crusher has Scottish clansmen - the Taits. From the northern islands.
Welcome to the Tacostand!

I've got another husband I can introduce you to who would welcome a weekend Tahquitz partner for the summer.
Another husband?!? Where is he? I'll kill him!
Be glad to do a Tahquitz trip with you, Bob - I got a weird weekend though, Sunday/Monday.
Drop me a line here if that works, or just want to jam up there for a Sunday.
Erik (apparently only one of the husbands of Justthemaid...why do you always find these things out on the internet?)
