I met a guy at a party last night who told me his second cousin's next door neighbor "thinks" that he got a glimpse of Roseanne Barr!

Shared a "smoke" with Eddie Van Halen & David Lee Roth while they were setting up to play at our high school (La Canada High) for lunch in 1976. They were just starting out and did a lot of Queen covers. They played "Now I'm Here" as their final number and blew off some smoke pots which were specifically banned by the school administration. Didn't get an encore as a result.

I used to have the poster for that concert (being held at Crescenta Valley High), but I traded it for some consumables. Wish I hadn't...

I ate a hotdog with Frank Zappa (it taste real good) and on another occasion with James Garner.

Went back stage with Jimmy Buffett, at his request after my pal got sucker punched by some weirdo (we had a table on first row). Buffett said he saw it coming but couldn't stop the song and say "look out dude!". I asked him "why not?" and he laughed; but I don't think he thought it was funny.

I've seen Harrison Ford twice at a sidewalk cafe in Idaho Falls. He has a home in Jackson Hole...apparently he drives...or flies over the mountains to shop in Idaho Falls. The locals don't bother him.

Seems like a very pleasant gentleman.

Also, rode a spiral escalator in San Francisco next to Beetlejuice, the midget tough guy...nibbling on a cookie, clutching a canvas bag and wearing a "pimpology" T-shirt.

I'm kinda hazy on what he's famous for... but have to say he impressed me as a flat-out terror.

But the most grievious celebrity sighting is viewing Kardashians on covers of ALL the magazines at the local grocery check-out.

I know when I'm out-classed. I humbly submit to the plethora of obviously better connected 'topians. Damn, I should have followed that RV.

Rode a ski lift at Squaw with Peter Graves.
Years ago when living in NYC Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward came into the same restaurant I was in. His eyes were as drop dead blue as they always were in the movies. He was stunningly handsome and very masculine without being all muscles.
Saw RFK crossing the street in front of the UN. He was darling.
Saw Goldie Hawn walking on Fifth Ave in front of St. Pat's Cathedral.
Saw Chuck Walker here in Santa CRuz (he vacations here a lot, evidently.

I'm such a Dork!
Not only have I never sighted a celebrity (that I know of) I don't even know who half the mentioned celebs are. If I stepped on Ronnie Jone's silvered boot I wouldn't know to bow.

I must've passed a few at Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Drive last Saturday afternoon.......I suppose.

Now if you want to talk climbing celebs I've sighted..........
naww.....I ain't gonna
Even that's a very short list.

Chuck Walker in Santa Cruz?
Isn't that in violation of a municipal ordinance?

Edit:
Oh, when I was 13 I saw President Kennedy ride past in his motorcade convertible on his way from the airport to downtown Salt Lake City.

and one of my Mother's friends was from a Very Wealthy and Very Important Robber Baron family. Met her once in her private railway coach.

I live in Santa Monica so, too many to mention, but I can say that I'm usually surprised at either how tall they are, or how short they are. I guess the guy that seemed the most regular and not full of himself was Tom Hanks.

As a child my ex-gf lived next door to Janis Joplin in Marin in the 60s, her parents had no clue to who Janis Joplin was. She and her sister were maybe 8 and 6 and would spend time there on occasion. She remembers going in and out via the dog door and Janis and friends playing a drinking game that involved a pool table and whiskey. I presume it was the house in Larkspur because a story about the house mentions the dog door for the St. Bernard Janis owned

A friend of mine worked for Tom Hanks and said he was a jerk to 'his people'.
His public persona is a sham.

my Dad once rode alone in an elevator with Boris Karloff. Said it was the scariest elevator ride of his life.

My Mom had Jonathan Winters in an art class she taught at the Dayton Art Institute. Very funny, but disruptive (from her perspective).
