1. Gorge d'Aveyron, France our home area here, minutes away.
2. Rodellar, or anywhere within two hours of Lleida Spain.
3. Clark Mountain, Ca.
4. Chateauvert, France
5. Fontainebleau, France. I know, I know, but I don't even consider myself a boulderer and it's certainly some of the funnest climbing I've ever done,

Hah! I have never gone to Jack's and not had a blast ;) I'll never forget a rest day out there one time where I had a HUGE herd of elk walked right through our campsite. Literally, I could've kicked one of them as I sat in my chair reading a book.
And before anyone slags Jack's, lace up at the Asylum. It will change your mind!
Come on, how bad can a place that looks like this be???

The fun part of Jacks Cyn is it really seems to earn its bad name from Flagstaff climbers who run down Jacks while exalting their own local limestone: The Pit. The Pit is waaaay better than Jacks! Then you go to The Pit expecting revelations into the future of limestone sport climbing and... it's exactly the same. What?!
Then you talk to a Flagstaff boulderer and he says he doesn't bother with any of the shitty roped climbing around there to begin with. The crystal ball is getting cloudy. Oh, Magic 8 ball. Shoulda known. Maybe if I give it another shake....
I don't know about boulderers, I really don't, but I do know that if Jacks were actually one of the worst crags it would be an awesome thing! I wish I had a crappy little Jacks Canyon around here, it would improve the sport climbing greatly.
......................................................................................................................................................
I really liked Paul Humphrey's crag, the Trinity Aretes. A journey through California back roads that feels a lot like Hatfield and McCoy country, and nice, long limestone lines that seem to hold some real sport climbing adventure.

I love how Paige says in that video "Smith Rock, it's the birthplace of American climbing!" Apparently without irony.
I mean, I know what she's saying, but.

Finale Ligure, Kalymnos, Arco, Presles.
Was at Valle de Quiros on the west side of the Picos in Northern Spain a couple weeks ago. With a bit more mileage there (we were fightin' bad weather), I could see that being a favorite. Riglos was great too.
The above were great for me, not only because the climbing was super, but, the hang was great too.

Ceuse hands down. Three mile wide band of bullet limestone with brilliant colors and features and over four hundred feet tall in spots.
Jailhouse. The biggest holds you'll ever fall off of.
Mammoth Cave Sonoma county. 140 foot roof, corrugated like Swiss cheese with pockets over a flat dirt landing. No rope needed so its hard to call it sport climbing but it sure ain't bouldering. Swimming hole to boot.
VRG Mesquite Az. Home of the Mentor. My absolute favorite 5.12b sport route ever.
I can only comment on the areas I've been to but there are tons more that I'd love to visit in the future. France again and Spain....
