We probably will mountain bike there to climb. That's how (and why) I stashed the rope there. I'll never know the quality of the climbs until I climb it.

emunsing, I too live at the bottom of oneidas. Last year on a whim I skinned up to that area and saw some poor quality decomposing rock as well as what seemed to be good granite.

edit- the routes on MP are a different rock. It's several hundred yards (at least) above the rim trail and much closer to armstrong pass. In map screenshot below, the one I'm referring to is up top adjacent to the rim trail and the routes on mp are on the formations lower right

finally got up there with the gf. found some good rock and some poor. wasn't able to do too much since in most cases you're gonna leave gear behind or have to some multipitch. that wasn't an option since we had the pups with us and they're not down with that (more to the point hikers on the rim trail wouldn't be down with it)

honey its longer than it looks. seemed like 5.7 but would probably be 5.6 if cleaned a bit. used all but about 10' of our 60m.

ashley on two fingers. this was on the backside and the rock was very poor down low.

near freel pass. things that make you go hmmmmm
