Wow man, bad news for you...

But it's stange for me that you couldn't find anyone in El Bruc to climb in Montserrat. Anyway, your planned trip was quite a bad idea (except for Montserrat on the north face). Climbing in Terradets, Roca Regina, Vilanova de Meià and Rodellar or Alquézar in July is quite a suicide. It's like climbing in the Fishers in August...
I strongly recommend you to climb there in Autumn/Spring and if you get your belongings go trad climbing to the Pyrenees (Midi d'Ossau, Cavallers, Amitges, Maladeta, Vignemale, Dent d'Orlú, Canigó, etc.). Good luck!

I've climbed with a friend I've been staying with a few short days. We climbed the side of Montserrat closest to el Bruc and castle de mediona a few times... Was alright even with my blown out shoes.

Biking the Pyrenees seems to be the direction I am heading now though

The main reason for my Europe posting activity is that Jeremy's Southern France thread has disappeared from ST and with it a lot of Verdon-, La Turbie-, Peillon-, Saint-Jeannet-stuff and so on, stuff that Marlow and other forumers had posted on Jeremy's thread. I decided to put up some of the photos and articles once again, and at the same time split the Southern France areas up a little bit more.

Close to Barcelona as well so it's a good venue.
