This is a really sweet photo (way more than a poster). Quality is first class, heavy duty stock and looks way better live than in Jody's post.

What I find interesting is that the Webster pic portrays him in so much different guise than the classic photo of Layton summiting in the sweater (forget which route; muir?).

What years were the two pics taken?

The West Buttress of El Cap FA with Roper was fifty years ago.

Is there a date on the poster shot?

Probably early nineties so roughly thirty years.

Late 80s, cool.

So Layton came back out to play with us for more than 25 years!

Tom Frost is about the only other climber in Layton's generation that took a long break and came back so strong...Awesome!
Rock!...oopsie.

Back to the top for this cause.

If you are on the fence about picking one of these up, I can attest that it feels great when that tube shows up in the mail! Thanks again Jody.

Payment received for 5 more. So far, $1500 for the Kors!

Getting lots of requests about paypal.

Starting now, paypal is also accepted to alpinist@charter.net

Please send as a gift and add $3 to the $105 for transfer fees if funding with a credit card.

Paypal is convenient but a royal pain when it comes to fees for sellers.

I have 40 left.

Let's keep this visible. Good opportunity to give back to the community, not to mention a screaming deal for memorabilia you will treasure forever.

Here's to Kor, the man, the myth, the legend.

People keep thanking me for doing this and while I appreciate it, it is basically just my time. Ed Webster has absorbed the costs of producing these posters so the accolades should go to him.

Bumpity bump.

Lovely poster, just about to frame mine after a week under some books to flatten 'er out.

Calling this a poster is deceptive really, it's way thicker than what I think of as poster paper. Closer to card stock than poster. Looking forward to hanging this one next to Yabo on Planet X, which is next to Dale at the RURP belay, which is next to Scuffy on Mainstreet.

Very cool print, and a good cause, don't miss your chance.

You will not regret it. This is a seriously outstanding photographic print; it is not a poster. The quality is first rate in all respects.

Get one.
