hey there say, all...

so happy this will work for helping clark!
hope someone can show what is now for the
total for a public place, as,

i sure do not want someone to get a bid in there, if
it was just a personal bid?

or will all those just switch over to the
public place... ?

please help and share, along the way, so we can
understand right...

thanks so very much... auctions would be nothing, unless
folks like you all, cared...
thank you each and everyone for caring...

:)

hey there say, cragman... oh my...

i have no clue what to do...

i do not know the area, or where would be best...

all i knew, was that i wanted to help clark...
that was all...

i could just give it to the highest bidder, then, since i do not know what
to do--as to putting it somewhere... :(

that would at least not hurt anyone...
and i sure do NOT WANT anyone hurt in any way, oh my...

__so i reckon somehow we have to start this over...
i did not know a public-part would enter in... :(

i do know that one poster (forgot how to spell his handle)...
i think is is at his best-offer, so far...

things could go from there...
if folks can look back at his post... :)

Bid Summary:

bluntdude is in the lead for $155. cragdude is second at $150. Jon Beck is in for $100; not sure if that is a donation or a bid.

neebs, send it to the high bidder and let them sort it out.

hey there say ,jingy!! so glad to know it made it!! i wanted to send you something happy, :)

it might add an extra funny happy chuckles, as, i later realized, due to blurry photo, that the telescope is a bit too short, :))

but it is the AMBIANCE, i know, :) that REALLY counts, :)

HAPPY WONDERFUL summer to you!!!
and may the smiles of friendship and special times, be yours!

thanks for catch up, johntp...

thanks, cragman, just trying to keep it easy and happy for folks, so
i reckon it will be best to see how it goes...

i am not much of an experimenter :))

just want to help someone that is sick and/or hurting...
and to give something nice and happy for those that can
participate, :)

i'm kind of simple--though at time, i think my brain acts too complex
for me to fully fathom, ;)

sure hope folks are not scared away to bid now, :(

Thanks neebster. That made my day; talk about an understatement. Now that I can finally get up off the floor, you are way complex. And profound. :>

you made my day, too, now... hearing how you now need to get up off the floor :))
from my "unique insight" :))

this is a special end to a nice day, though tad-lonely-day,
smiling now, seeing a good friend, having
fun here! :)

thank you, john... :)

hey there say, johntp.... awwwww, shucks, :) same to you, good buddy,

well, off to go paint now, as i follow this ol' trail from computer to
paints over-yonder, to make a neat complex mass of paint strokes, into
something deep and meaningful, yet, not too profound that it can't be
understood, simply, from any angle :)

there, how'd i do, ;)

neebee, Cragman, and all others:

If I end up being top bidder, I have no problem at all hanging it someplace public. I already have a cool framed photo of Clark soloing the Flower. I would think it should go someplace in either J-Tree or Idyllwild. While I do know Clark, I would much rather see his mug in public.

I have no contacts for my suggestions (and do I think we should consult with Clark before any decision is made) but here are my initial suggestions in no particular order:

Nomads (J-Tree or Idyllwild)
Red Kettle (Idyllwild)

Regardless, I'll abide by the tribe's decision. CAVEAT: I'm going to hang it in my house for 2 weeks before I deliver it to the chosen location.

hey there say, BluntMan...

wow, just got on really fast to check mail, got to run now... but say:

that sounds very nice, and yes, also polite too, to ask clark as well...

wow, whewww, i sure feel better now, too,
thanks for sharing!

god bless, all, happy good eve...
will be back tomorrow... :)

edit:
back for a minute, :)
just noticed this part about hanging it in house for two weeks,

YES! and remember to take a photo of it there, with you by it's side, for
a special keepsake to your family and you, :)

hey there say, cragman... well, i was thinking on that...

should give it least 'til the end of may...
does that sound good?

gives it enough time for new folks to see it, if some are not
always here, and only show up on weekend-eves...

does this sound proper... please let me know...

Thanks everyone for your efforts. I don't know if Clark has family still around, but maybe it could be donated to them?

Just a thought.

I think keeping it with Clarke and family is a great idea, maybe put together a binder of photos and stories. I love the shot of Clarke on Hairlip.

hey there say, rlf...

it would be very nice for his family to have it, if the winner of the bid,
does not mind... they could keep it first for a week or two, and then present it to him...

or--i can always paint another version for either the winner, or for clark and family, just for a free gift... due to him being so special to the climber community... the climber community has been very kind to me and i sure do not mind sharing free gifts to help folks, back...
