Hate em! Utterly despise 'your perfect country and western song.'

Now I don't mean anything personal and this is not in reference to the David Allen Coe song I posted to leggs thread recently (THE perfect... country and western song).

Its that, well, I grew up in middle Tennessee and worked on Music Row for a time and was subjected to the Gitmo-like indoctrination of growing up in a city where every radio station was country.

So country music starts off on the wrong foot with me - 'That Nashville Sound' is as prevalent as it was when Waylon, Willie and the boys fled to Texas. Guess what, Nashville won in the end, the Outlaws sold out and now its the soup of the muhtafukin DAY.

It is so.... utterly... boringly.... predictable..... formula.... bullsh#t. The entire country music industry is pathetic.

And worst of all is 'the sad country song.' I would rather shoot myself in the face with a Dragoon pistol than listen to some f*#ktard whiner go off about what a pitiful life she has. I can't stand broken hearted music... vomit!!!!!

There is nothing at all uplifting about such a song. Suicide pill imo, just to suffer listening to one. If you ever catch me crying in my beer, if you ever suspect I am maudlin, if you catch me even for a second humming along to such a tune????

KILL ME PLEASE!

Don't even warn me... gimme a bullet in the back of the head and go about your day.

THANKS!

I only listen to country when I'm road tripping through redneck country. Seems appropriate. That and the Dixie Chicks. I can listen to them....

country music pre mid eighties is ok

I am more of a alt country kind of guy, i.e. Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Son Volt

Waylon, and Willie were outlaws. not country like Hank.
