Ya know, what with this crazy spring weather, Jim's dates sound about right. But, if we get a weather window, AND the owner is home that weekend, I can blast down in 5 hours.

Memorial weekend, too many people for me!

Rats, really want climb rock

I'm out of the country with my sister for the last 2 weeks of June, and I was thinking about September, but I could psyched for the second week of July if others might so that too. My two best trips there ever were 4th of July weekends. And 2 trips around Memorial Day were snowed/rained on.

So let's keep watching the weather...

My participation at the Donini dates is a definite "maybe." Probably will fit in with my schedule, though.

I'll be in the City this weekend, leading a geology field trip. Weather is predicted to be sunny and upper 60's. I told the students to bring their gear...

Upper 60's this weekend in Almo...point clickin' on NOAA at the City:

Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.
Sunday Mostly sunny, with a high near 59.

Still, pretty nice during the day! Good for a day trip from SLC....hmmm...

You plan on doing any "core sampling", Kevin? Ha ha...

Cheers!

Bloody Fingers, eh? We didn't know it had a name or an ascent.
I don't recall any blood, either. ;-)

Plaidman - the joint will be swarming with kiddies and the like during any holiday weekend. There is some BLM camping around however. PM me

"Bloody fingers?

If you had lead climbed it 35 years ago in blue RR's, and without a few of the bolts, you know sure as hell why they called it that. You'd have actually have had to yard on those shallow little finger locks while staring at #4 stoppers for pro. Nothing on Breadloaves is actually hard anymore, or scary. It was too close to the road, entirely, to survive.

Risk has been bolted away from the COR. Its been institutionally outlawed by the participants. Like Gulliver, the Liliputians have bound it down with ten thousand tiny anchors."

Yes, that is Bloody Fingers, an no there are not any bolts on it.

Sounds like it is coming together. Hope my gf and I can make some of these dates and finally check out this place. I have been wanting to go really bad, all the pics I see look so awesome. Looks like end of June would be the soonest for us though. Hope to be able to do it this year and meet some more cool Supertopo-ians :-)

Locker-

I'm more and more thinking the donini dates are an excellent choice. Next week I should be able to firm things up a bit more.
