That would be really hard to do in my house.
Besides, I'm not into gratuitous thrill-seeking or jumping out of
still functioning aircraft.

I just sent a jumping spider through a dry fishbowl arch at my house on a tiny paper airplane!

Turns out it's not that hard!

Looks like good climbing... Was that a party at a hanging belay just the other side of that hole at the end of the video?

Alexander does NOT need money, his family is filthy rich. He just happens to be be very passionate, super talented and VERY brave.

Ron, the last I checked they are still subject to the laws of physics and,
having almost a zero aspect ratio, their flight envelope is pretty tightly
constricted. The good news is that with such a high wing-loading factor
they actually are a little less susceptible to 'bubbles' and 'pockets'.
They are still crazier than hens' teeth IMHO.

Yes, gusts of wind are the most dangerous aspect of doing something like this. Also, change in pressure of certain suits can drastically change your flight plan, that's usually due to changing your body positioning.

I'm sure he waited for a day that had no wind, he's a smart guy. He wasn't doing it for the chicks, either. He used to date Britney Spears when he was 19, ha ha.

Mr Pirate, having actually studied aerodynamics and having a friend who
designed the Gossamer Albatross I wonder why these suits seem to me only
one step removed from Otto Lilienthal. Surely they must test these things
in wind tunnels. If so then I ask why they aren't using more rigid airfoil
surfaces especially ones that could extend the length of the 'wing' thereby
increasing L/D and the aspect ratio? I understand the impracticality of a
rigid contraption but since it seems like the advantages would far outweigh
(no pun intended) the disadvantages.

I've been watching these videos for 5 or 6 years now, cheap exicting thrill for shu. Have I seen these suits change and get, larger? Like the one in this video?
So maybe there is an evolution going on with these wing suits and they will keep changing and increasing the, glide ratio? (Is that the right term?)

I really love this sh#t and now I want to learn how to para-glide. I think my 53 year old bod can handle that. Maybe.
