After reading that post about Southern Belle anyone would be a fool not to want to climb with this guy. What a SCREAM that would be. If I had any cash I would go for it.

Very Generous of Young Will to offer a day of his time in support of Big Mikes recovery.

Is there any specific location(s) for said guiding?

None specified by Rolf. I'm guessing email Will and ask him where he is willing to do it, probably squamish i would imagine, but maybe the valley depending on his schedule?

I will email Will to thank him and ask him if he had any specifics in mind.

Yo Big Mike - any way we could get a def answer on whether he's up for doing it in Yosemite? That'd pull on the imagination of a bunch of us CA folks.

Wonder if he'd be game for something like El Cap Tower and rap...

possible liability/insurance issues with him guiding in the states?

Guiding in Yosemite is a tricky one. Perhaps you could get some workaround since it would be a donated day, something more "official" is problematic due to permits.

I'm guessing you could do something in the Sierra, if Will is in this neck of the woods.

Will says it will have to be in Squamish. It's a great opportunity for one of you cali dudes to get a rope gun up the grand wall/roman chimneys!!

I dunno Kid. That's close to Squamish so probably!

Also ins issues with him working in the states too i would imagine.

I would like to know when the auction is set to run until.

Edit: coz just blew me out of the water... Dang. But we'll have to wait to hear back more details be cause as far as I know Will is only offering one day of his time...

No wonder its hard to mAke a living guiding. People like Scott trying to get him to give up a weeks pay in the name of charity.

Coz, that would be mega! Please make it happen! I'm sure there's many up here who'd love to meet u & hear some tales, but don't confine it to Southern Belle, we want some Squamish stories from ya too!!!!!!

As for this auction item, pretty cool & generous idea i'd say. As someone who made the very regrettable mistake of talking out of turn & saying sum dum sh#t about will one time on here which cost me a few potential friends, I've had the chance to meet him a few times briefly at the crag since & despite my previous distorted, second hand impression, he's a really nice guy that would be fun to have for a ropegun for sure. We ran into him guiding a few weeks back & he was really encouraging & havin a good time with his client which was cool to see.

If I could swing the $$ I'd get im to hang a big ol 300m TR on the opal for me so I could hack away all day & wreck some shoes! Pretty deadly for Coz to put in a bid & donate it to u Mike- Have fun!

Luke, we could do Spaceman Spliff, no?? Just gotta bring some of those ladder things & a piece of single dyneema each for anchors:-) oh and a chainsaw.

Micheald where in the heck do you come up with anyone saying anything was lame. We're all behind the idea of the community donating time and money to our friend in need.

Could some one please link me to the thread where that Ryan weenie talks sh#t..
