Wow, that guy has a good left hamstring.
I've always marveled at how alot of good British climbers look like average joes but pull down so hard. Just wicked strong.

Those were some killer moves he was pulling off. Love the self-talk: "Toprope, toprope, on toprope"
That is how to climb the Grit!

There was a mantel? My thought also. Looks to be a great heel hook sequence.

My knee would have exploded into a million pieces if I tried that.
Then again, I don't have nearly enough strength to even consider it.

Who was the pro for, his belayer?! Might have saved him a foot or two after he clipped, but above that, as Werner said, a death fall for sure. "ad me mitts a bit sweatin', watchin' at one".

Nice!
But I prefer Seb's internal dialog... "get in there you tosser"... or something like that. Dude cracked me up at his slideshow years ago.

the runout at the crux of Braille Trail looks like a grounder
I don't think so, at least not if he's gettin the same pro as the regular Braille Trail. Dave Jones takes the fall from the crux in Hard Grit. Sketchy, because the pro is like a 8 penny nail with some tape wrapped around it, shoved into a hole, along with a sketcy sawed pin also wrapped in tape and hand placed into a bottoming horizontal.
My hamstring and ass cheek would cramp into a ball that would never unravel if I tried that move. Enjoy the youth and flexibility young Whittaker.

Elcap, he approached Braille Trail from the right so he had to do the crux of that route with no gear at all.

I agree John. I was sweatin' watchin'. Especially with Mum and Pa watchin eminent carnage should he have blown it.
I love the clip of Jones on Braille Trail. Serious footworkcraft. Inspiring.
