So if we find out specifically who did this atrocity what then? Do we do it back to them? Do we hate as much or more than the perps. Do we let our system deal with them? What? Where do we go from here? What do we do to eliminate this horror. Can we do anything?

So a Saudi National is in custody. He has not been arrested and is denying involvement. An American noticed him acting suspiciously then chased him down after he took off running after the explosions (not a surprising reaction to a bomb). He was last reported to be denying any involvement.
I still bet homegrown - prolly wont know for a few days.
Very very sad day.

How many innocent bystanders have we taken out? what do they call them casualties of war? didn't we declare war on the terrorists?
it's tragic but we can't run around doin whatever we feel is right and not expect any backlash right?

I'm retracting my "i bet homegrown"
To many contradictory pieces of info pointing away from home grown.
If the reports of a bomb being found in a hotel are true that seems to point away from a timothy mcveigh.
Regardless of which flavor of whack jobs did this it's very sad.

That Boston was able to shut off cell service instantly means they
knew in advance that cell phone triggered ied's were possibly going to be
used.
Not certain but a possibility. And knew which towers to shut off. No futzing around with coverage maps. So they had that functionality primed and ready just in case.
Unless anyone out there has knowledge that all the police departments
across the US have cell tower kill switches they can activate when needed?
Think Boston PD had a light bulb moment that fast? No. They were ready in
case they could not arrest the terrorists before.
