I spent the afternoon with Jennie and a lawyer at the Immigrant Council trying to sort out my situation, then I get home and go to the shops and Jen asks if there are people at the gates. "No", and I turn on the CCTV of the gates.

Back from the shops and a Garda (policeman) shows up. Asks me if there is trouble. I run into my office phone, and yes I saw the last call was 999, when I was gone for about ten minutes, she called the Gardai (it was really foxes squabbling in the front yard, they sound like Banshees).

The garda understood after talking with him. That Jen has Korsakoff's and confabulates.

Why tell this story?

Because Philo, that photo of the dog with snow on his face made me laugh, made my day. After all, snow is a dog's summer. Thanks Philo

Otherwise than this thread drift of mine, be civil, people. Okay it appears the perps were from Russia. If their uncle is correct, that they were just losers and not ideologically motivated... I don't know, do we ban losers, if so I am in the deep end.

just for argument's sake,
what would you do if you clawed your epic
way on to the 12" ledge atop pitch 29,
your water and food, long exhausted,
and you found an unopened container of nutella.

that stuff requires water, for edibility.
though you're starving.
you're also thirsty.

blood sugar, capput.
tears no longer flowing.
blood, thick.
desperation, high.

im thinking, i would shite the marble
that's been camping out in my lower cathedral,
and plunge face first into god's vagina.

just for argument's sake.

The father of the two was just interviewed (CNN) and claims his sons were framed and that the cops shot his oldest son for no reason...

I don't think the opinions of an accused's parents are particularly probative at to guilt . . .

John B,,Im an American. They were not

wrong

he IS an "American"

he actually wanted to be a US Citizen bad enough to go through all the rigorous entry and civic tests

something happened to him, in his mind, WHILE he was an American

we don't know what, but he was unemployed and had an older brother influencing him

When people think of America, they think of morbidly obese people eating McDonalds, driving big trucks in dirt, and shooting everyone to death.

"Ive never had any friends, i dont understand these people"..

I often feel the same way. Especially about "these people" who insist on being "A-Merkin" and forget what it means to be human. As if a fuking cross and a huge ass Merkin flag on your truck makes you a better person.

That's NORTH America. South Americans aren't like that at all.

The Right is acting as if they just won the World Series so relieved it wasn't one of their own. You know, the next most likely suspects every time something like this happens.

Whew! I was relieved they weren't Armenian, since so many of us live in the Watertown area.

Judging by the comments on this thread, it seems that the damage done to America by the bombings will pale compared with the damage Americans want to do to each other. We may well have caught the perpetrators. Why aren't we pulling together and celebrating?

You right wingers just love to ignore your own history. What are you ashamed of? By all accounts, the Royal American Regiment fought bravely for the king against the patriots. You should be proud!

edit: I am ashamed of my part in this thread drift. Best wishes to all in Boston, and hopefully the perpetrators will all be in hand soon. Thaat we can all agree on.

Peace out.

9000 against one 19 year old punk? That doesn't make me feel really
confident in the police. Or is it just symptomatic of the whole fear-mongering
thing so as to beef up budgets and bureaucracies while ignoring more mundane
crime like gangs, organized crime, white-collar crime, and stop sign rollers?
