BUT WE DAMN WELL SHOULD NOT CONDEMN A WHOLE ARTIFICIAL CONSTRUCT OF SOME GROUP OF PEOPLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ONE OR A FEW.

a whole lot of people will anyway

immediate, emotional, knee jerk reaction

because it feels good

feels righteous

last time we did it, it cost us three trillion dollars and 4000 US Armed Forces dead

No we will never be able to stop a dedicated intelligent individual of the most dangerous race of beings in the known universe from attacking like this.

Ron - We're not going to stop such people. There will always be a small percentage of crazy people who don't value life and feel the need to make a statement.

By my calculation, this brings the grand total of terrorist-related deaths in the U.S. in the past 10+ years to...2. How many people have died by gunfire from white Americans during that time (in schools, movie theaters, etc.)? How are we going to stop those people? Are terrorist bombs really the biggest threat? (This is, of course, assuming this even was a foreign terrorist attack...)

The Middle East is not "FULL" of these people. Have you ever been there? Of course you haven't. I have, and I have American friends who have lived there for years, and 99% of the people you encounter are friendly and caring. Your statement is the equivalent of going to a neo-Nazi rally here in the U.S. and then proclaiming "American is FULL of skinhead racists!" It makes you look like even more of an ignorant bigot than you normally do. Congratulations.

SO a man thinks to himself those folks over there might attack.. so he nukes them

Then he figures someone over there might attack.. so he nukes them

Eventually he nukes everyone.. cause hey.. they might attack

Then he looks at himself and says.. jeez I should't smoke a cigarette or drink a beer or eat McDonalds or Climbe a rock

So he shoots himself

Another guy just says

Life is good and I like most of the people I meet. Gotta die someday so no sense worrying about that.. what can I do to make life better while I'm here?

We can solve this problem with mandatory racial/ethnic/religious/mental/DNA/etc. profiling and government monitoring of all personal activities of the entire world population. Problem solved. I think Homeland Security is working on an ap for this. I can’t wait for the whole family to get the GPS and biometric chips implanted. I’ll feel much safer. How 'bout you?

I wouldn't mind climbing some time.

Best wishes to the victims, as with all such tragedies.

Quit f-ing guessing as to whodunnit. Time will tell.

Yeah well go back a couple more years and all of a sudden its thousands. Go back to Oklahoma City and its even more. I also see you don't consider the Ft Hood shootings to be terrorism. "Allah Akbar!!!!" Blam blam blam blam...

In the case of this mess in Boston, the best thing would be for everyone to unite on the theme that it is a terrible thing and not to speculate, throwing accusations in all directions, until the facts come in.

Conservative media are blaming the ME, at the same time liberal media are speculating that it is a right wing government hating group. Who does this BS from either side serve? No one.

Jeez, there are even conspiracy theory folks on facebook saying that the Boston PD did it accidentally as they were using the event as a training exercise in bomb squad work.

None of this idiotic speculation contributes anything.

Hey, who you calling an idiot? Speculation is about as natural as apple pie. :>) Give me freedom to speculate or give me death. Notice I'm not speculating out loud except for mentioning the North Koreans.

As a participant in an unpopular war a few decades ago, I whole heartedly agree.

Give me freedom to speculate or give me death.

Dan, you and me speculating is natural. The "news" media speculating is irresponsible. And the politicians will be next.

I always enjoy your sense of humor though...
