Hello Fellow Woodfords Climbers,

I would like to join the festivities on May 25th. Besides rope, dope, gear, and beer what should I bring? I was thinking firewood and food. What type of food should i bring?

Thanks,

Bruce McIntosh

Thanks Ron. We need some money for the pig. I can give $100.00.

Also, have we decided on the location? I don't know the area, so please help.

Do we need wood, or can we pick some up in the forest?

I will bring a table and chairs to sit four.

Dan said across the highway from the "bridge to nowhere"..So its either there or on the road to nowhere, just after the bridge, but there usually campers in there. Wood WUD be a good idea it will take some to roast a piggie!

Lots of deads Mt. Mohogahy ...makes a fire hot enough to fold steel. Kenny check out that area across from the bridge to nowhere... the parking area for Whites Wall. If you heading down the road it's on the right after the turn left over the bridge. Drive onto the dirt then right up a hill. A Huge flat spot an old staging area for log collection lies above the main bridge for highway 88 just upsream from the fisherman's bridge. Can't be seen from the road and that could be kinda nice with the riff-raff that definately show up. Dan

Yeah Dan, I've been up there that's not bad and there's plenty of options for people to camp minutes away.

Awesome guys that its finally coming together. 25th is great. Ill arrange for the pork and beans and cook em up. Anything else ill leave up to you guys. Head count ASAP so I know how much to get. I plan on cooking the pig/pork above ground in a "pit" that I make. We just need to find a place now to circle the wagons and do it
Shawn
PM me for any questions or requests

I will also bring a small generator((Honda)
For a little power and tunes.
I would start cooking Friday night to have it ready for late Saturday.

Let's do it!!!!

I believe so Ron. It's by where the old cabin used to be. I hope I can get my 7x14 cargo trailer up there to get all my cooking stuff there.

Kenny can you check that situation out for me?
Thanks
Shawn

Shawn, I'm sure we can get your trailer up there but I'll double check it.

Ron, that looks like the right spot to meh. If the trailer won't make it up there maybe the parking area at Cloudburst, past the road leading to the apprroach trail could work. Not as big but for the first annual Woodfest it could suffice. Dan
