Don't know if this has been posted already, but I found this vid on youtube last night...

Looks like the dude solos the Northeast Buttress in under an hour.

My hands were sweating like crazy while watching this...

I'm setting up a Paypal account for this guy, if anyone wants to donate money to help him get a new pair of pants and a shirt you can PayPal to leeflat1@yahoo.com
I'll make sure he gets some new duds.

Ah.... what I would give to be 19 and strong again..........

If you ain't free-soloing at 19 then you wasted your youth.

Having used a GoPro to film climbing, and having watched this, I am convinced GPees do not
make good climbing videos. No DoF

also, there's no overwrought voice-over using some fifty-cent words like "inspiring" and "vision" and "menudo".

he should have filmed himself at the base meditating, getting ready for the solo and comparing free-soloing to being free like a zion turkey vulture crossing the road.

Maybe it just me..... but a Go Pro mounted to a helmet should not be used for climbing. It reminds me of being lost at sea in a dingy with 30 foot swells while looking through a toilet paper roll at a fun house mirror....God awful!

There are some good applications for Go Pro...wake boarding, free ski jumping, base jumping.....something where your heads stays relatively still.

I hate watching that perspective shift on the GoPro from feet to hands...endlessly.

Had to shut it off after a minute.
