Photo either by Dean Fidelman or Brian Rennie.
If it's Dean's a.k.a. Bullwinkle, depending on your intended use you might want to contact him about it first. Being that he makes his living from it and stuff.
It's a really fun group shot!

i tried to search for it, but no luck so far. dr. f has more than 3000 photos ;-) . yeah i'm pretty sure it's a dean shot. quite awesome. i just want to print it out in very small size (on paper, not as a poster, low res does it) to decorate the door of my room, i'm sure dean's fine with that..
i haven't seen the back cover the miramontes book.
maybe someone finds it and posts it here, that would be cool. otherwise, no worries...

No, it's a Brian Rennie shot. He is in the foreground. I've got it somewhere, he gave all of us a copy.

It's on the back side of I think the Vogel Select full color Josh guidebook.
Dean Fidelman might have some more info, I hear he's kinda handy with a camera.

You've come a long way from the Sheep Buggerers, it's true.
Had to say it.
In fact, wasn't 1978 your eponymous "Stonemaster Rookie of the Year" designation?

Hey Dr. F, I took that shot of you guys in the early '90's in Joshua Tree at, I think, an Access Fund event.

My socks don't match. John lookin' a little too serious, RV pretty focused, Winkle and Angione posing, Mariah, Mari, Lechlinski and Chas looking good.
And Dr. F has it right "not Stonemasters." Yabo, runnin' some long hair.
The Sam Roberts photo was from up in Idyllwild on a special...cleanup or some such...weekend.
edit: No, I was wrong, it was in Josh, as Sam has said.Same weekend as a big time Royal Robbins slideshow.
Some other classic stite went down that weekend that I will not mention. Way slanderous.

Dr. F, or dee ee, do you guys still talk to Brian. I climbed in the Sierra, and Joshua Tree with him back in the early eighties. Last time I saw him was in the early nineties at his shop.

Oh let's see- That's Steve West on the right, Alan Bartlett's in the back, Dave Yerian's in there next to Al, Mariah Cranor has her arm around Clark, Mari's looking at Mariah and yeah, Randy Grandstaff's the third from the left. He sure was a nice guy...

Dude! We are not getting any younger: out with the anecdote already!
Your words are safe here; it's only the Internet And Supertopo, not like anybody's really reading this stuff except those few of us who were there ...
