Hi All: Anyone know if it's too early to head to Lover's this weekend? Temps look mild but I don't know if it would be too wet right now?

LOL...OK...what is the relative "dampness" of the Loaf or Phantom this time of year? I'm hoping if I drive all the way out there Fri. and Lovers is a soggy mess, I won't be shut down completely?

It's never to early for lovers.. You just have be a little more Burt Bronson in the cold season.....I've climbed at the leap since '78 and every season has something to enjoy. ( maybe Knott july and August) unless you like climbing early or into the evening.

@Ron...that was my plan, assuming it's not a waterfall...I guess I can try Phantom/Loaf unless they would still be snowed in(hope not)

You'll be fine.
There is some snow at Lover's, but really not that much. Definitely no snowshoes required.
Sugarloaf is totally snow free as of last weekend (3/30).

Watch the snow levels with the storm later this week, but you should be ok unless it gets really cold.

I would imagine the right side of the hog to be dry as well,, for the most.. maybe lol!

Ya know, i remember a time, that if we saw more than three of four parties anywhere on the main walls, wed bail to the hog. And have it all to ourselves. Climbed all over that dome-ish wonder. And a couple of quite memorable fa's.. We engaged in "runout" contests to see who could stretch it out the bestest and shyt. 145 ' was pretty much the mark cuz thats what most ropes were then. (1-fiddys)..

I would caution being carefull of any log crossings over the river if approaching from that way..That f*cker is FAST through there!;-)
